I know the NoHo guys are quite happy to have arranged fights. There's quite a few big and small corps out there willing to do it.

I guess the only way to find out who will actually honor them, is to actually test it and make yourself a list. Pretty sure i remember noho having an arranged t1 cruiser brawl with hard knocks for example a while ago.

If you have rolled into one of those corps holes or they role into you, don't expect it to happen if you don't ask though is all i have to say.

You invaded us because we didn't agree to an arranged fight? What? Not sure what happened after I went away from game, but I know for a fact we had a few fights with you guys before I went on break. They were pretty good iirc, so I am not sure why that would cause any issues.

I'm guessing it's more an issue that you feel all fights should be one-sided instead of throwing caution to the wind and engaging even or worse odds for the hell of it.

We've had a few arranged fights so far in wormhole space were we couldn't hold against an opposing force (t3 blobs and I use the term blob loosely ) both of the fights against entities larger than us ended with the opposing force choosing a different ship type then the agreed upon.

The first fight being with SYJ and they were the ones who asked us if we wanted to fight
So agreeing to brawlers on a k162 c3 they brought a t3 bc sniper fleet and after agreeing no podding they still tried. Lack of honor or inability to provide a good fight on their behalf who knows. I won't agree to it with them anymore

Te second fight with TDSIN was good we agreed to t1/t2 cruisers they brought drakes and canes instead and due to the knowledge level of the FC at the time out whole fleet was lost. But it was a fun fight and they maintained their agreement on podding it was fun and we would do it again with them.

We've fought with some smaller guys and they put out its been good. We will continue to offer fair fights with other wh groups

I am saying that a majority of the time they will be one sided if it's not arranged. That is just the nature of the game, especially in wh space. Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. That is fine with me. I also couldn't give a rat's ass about losing ships. Anyone who has flown with me knows that.

Oh Hai Galen. You mean engaging haphazardly like we did last night? Lol

It did show me how much some of our logi pilots need practice.. 10 seconds in they failed to get cap chain up and I was like OMG!!!!! SRSLY??? X However, no one who was there was mad about the spanking we got. It was pretty damn fun--next time, my friend, next time!

Hey Rall! Did your logi pilots cap out? I thought that was our ECM. Either way, was a good fight and a definite example of the kind of attitude wormholers should have: "Hey, I think we can take them, let's melt some face!" Arranged fights are for when you have 6 duders online and someone sweeps by with 20. Yeah, 14 of the larger group might miss out, but at least a fight was had and bob appeased.

The issue is CCP has little interest in creating an environment that has a fair play PVP aspect to it, so you just have to meet people and hope for the best. Then do it again, if you get a chance.

I've read post after post of players suggesting a PVP arena, but they all get shot down with rants of sandbox this and that....

I don't think EVE will ever be fair or honorable, only players.

I for one would welcome a CCP sanctioned PVP T1 class 1vs1 arena and a nice little score board to make it interesting.
This is why I don't PVP, really because it is so rarely competitive.

Confirming arranged fights are a thing in W-Space and we will honour them.

We offered one up to a pretty large entity though a fortnight or so ago, I forget who, when they jumped us ratting but they said they preferred not to. Congratulated us on getting our PVE gang out intact, and rolled their conx.

Takes all sorts I guess.

Some people only have the "balls" to surprisebuttecks, unfortunately, which is why they resort to calling arranged PvP lame.

Which is what makes this such an awesome game.

We love doing arranged fights as we usually get outnumbered by people who roll into us. Usually we'll attempt to fight with what we have first, and when we inevitably get whelped, we'll ask whoever is there for an arranged fight at either the sun or on a hole. They're a great time and we've always honoured them, as have our opponents. If someone asks, we'll gladly oblige them with a fight.

If thuggin' was a category I'd win a Grammy

Eh, they failed to cap chain, and as soon as they did chain, your ecm took hold, so we were ******.

When we were barely two months old, we had an honor fight with Task Force Proteus following an unplanned fight a week earlier (just random hole connections). We fell completely apart in the honor fight due to an influx of new people who weren't used to each other and, to be honest, one of my worst moments ever Fc'ing.

Bad Fc'ing + leroying + people not listening beyond that = epically funny failscade in a fleet

It was SO bad.

The previous fight had all been mature pilots who knew each other. That one went on longer and was far more entertaining for both sides....

I learned the neutralizing power of sensor damps on a falcon in the first (unplanned) fight... my falcon buddy was useless to help us. X

I cant remember if that was Hard Knocks or not but we had a stand off on the static with equal forces and the FC's arranged for us both to reship to tech 1 ships and have a brawl, there were a few battle badgers involved.
I also recall a fight with Exhale where our statics both connected to the same c6 so we both arranged to go balls deep in the static and more recently we were contacted by frozen dawn looking for a fight if we could roll into them.

They do happen occasionally and they're generally a lot of fun, I'd trust any wormhole alliance to honour such agreements.

We've had arranged fights with SSC and E-UNI so far. In the first case it was to ensure SSC didn't blob us with capitals if we jumped into them, and in the second case it was to assure E-UNI that we would not use more than a single carrier for logistics if they jumped into us (since they had triple guardian and we had none). It takes some of the surprise out of it, but I get just as much of a rush out of a relatively even fight that's set up as I do those that we get lucky with.

Seeing all these posts from the larger C5 corps about Cruiser fleets at the sun I think I know what I'm buying my guy's for Halloween...
