I'm doing missions and earning Loyalty Points.

What are the best ways to spend the Loyalty Points efficiently/smartly?

@OP: Make sure you include volume into your consideration, some high ISK/LP items aren't easy to move.

generally I find faction ammo is a good choice, do antimatter and you can clear it pretty fast

On-topic: depends on what corp your LP is for, and what items are offered.

If you're gaining LP for FW corps, I would suggest converting your LP into the faction BCs and selling them. The Navy Brutix you can get for 100,000 LP and a Brutix hull will net you a total of 100mill isk per ship.

There may be better ways of converting your lp to isk, but thats how I do it.

Yeah, really ships are stupid easy to move, but they generally have some of the worst isk to lp ratio. Best advice I can give you is create another toon on your account and sit them in one of the trade hubs (Jita or dodi generally) and have them check the prices before you spend your lp (thus ensuring you can sell at a price point that works for you in a volume that is acceptable). Item prices and to a lesser degree volumes are constantly changing because of the way markets work in Eve. Use up to the date information and move fast if you want to maximize lp to isk. That or be lazy and still have plenty of isk to pew (I do a mix of lazy and non-lazy depending on how much time I have).
