2009.12.07 the SovereigntyStatus api call was removed becuase it prevented too much real-time information. This was a good call. However, a replacement API call to provide Corps/Alliances with relevant information was briefly mentioned but has since never been heard about again.

It would be desirable for alliances and corps to be able to find out about all of the Sov Structures they own. This would mean primarily System status and the status of each structure (TCU, IHub and any SBUs both hostile and friendly). Additionally it would be very useful to include the Strategic, Military and Industrial indexes for the systems (to include the percentages shown in the IHub Management Screen) as well as all of the installed upgrades in the IHub itself.

Is there any update on an API of this sort in the works?

I understand what you are saying, I don't think they will replace this API call at the moment as they said that Sov needs to be changed and that the current system was not working the way they had intended so in the short term I don't think they will replace it till after they do the Sov changes.
