One of my corp got his orca caught by a bunch of these guys. They told him to pay 300mil to let him go. So he payed and then they asked for 300mill more while they were killing his ship. Eventually he had to eject and warp away while he was considering the offer ... again...

So, nothing to complain, they are very skilled and that gank was very good, but if ever you get caught don't pay any money since they will never let you go until you pay them more than the value of the ship, and then probably the value of the implants, and then kill you.

They always let me go. There must have been some miscommunication. Eve players always keep their word. Show proof!

Lol my "corp friend" is not new, just new to 0.0. And pirates sometimes scramble you, then ask money. Sometimes they let you go if you pay, you know. So if they don't let you go and break your ship and-or pod is better let it know to other players.
This is not a whine, or a cry. He was stupid and he got himself caught, he deserved to lose his orca.
And proof, there are no need of proof, this is just a indication for who wants to know which pirates let you go and which ones just want to score a kill.
You can always try yourself if you get in the same situation and pay, or believe me and don't pay for all i care :)

So Outbreak got 300 mil and an Orca off your friend.

Why did he eject from his ship?

Because after paying the guy 300mil was asked for other 300mils, while half the fleet there was shooting him :-)
So he just ejected and warped to safty with his pod.

The captain should always go down with the ship. By ejecting the enemy forces should of been able to stop firing and enter the orca and keep it as their own to sell or use.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

So casual, you would almost expect this is normal behaviour.

If you had less than 3 brain cells to rub together.

edit: looks like they were unable to hold the DPS =((((
