hello folks

me and i know a lot of others
bought the mind link after themining barge change

at that point there was not a anouncement yet that they
were going to change way they could be aquired

so i bought that thing 2.1 b

and about 2 days later they pronounce
that the mind links could be bought with concorde lp

i say that they should reimburse the difference
between the price we payed and the price it became

the price now is only a fraction
of what is was when it was still a "rare" drop

already made a petition about this but all they simply dont care

i call this theft from the players by ccp

I sold one of my two mindlinks before the patch, but still had one sitting in inventory that I hadn't given a thought to.

I lost a billion isk easy by not selling it. I'd like that put directly into my wallet too, please.

Welcome to EVE OP. Stuff like you're talking about happens all the time. It's part of the game. CCP did it to help out the masses, so they don't really care if one or two people are butthurt over changes like this. Kind of mimics real life, eh? CCP didn't steal your money, they didn't make the changes just to steal your isk. Just absorb your loss, move on, and try not to make yourself look too silly over it.

Ignore the trolls buddy, you're in the right. Everyone who ever bought one of those mindlinks is due a heavy reimbursement by CCP.

In all honesty, CCP should probably reimburse every character who ever lost isk due to a market fluctuation that came about from new/altered items. Fair is fair.

thats a little more than is realistic

if they would set a period of a week or 2 before they announced it ( since that is when they went skyhigh after the mining changes)
that would be realistic

This will never happen, you're just making a fool out of yourself.

However, please do state the percentage of salt in your tears at this very moment.

This happens all the time.

CCP intentionally does not release some expansion information beforehand especially if it could be used to exploit the market or obtain an unfair advantage.

Could be worse, you could have speculated and bought a metric ass-load of tractor beam BPOs.

It was worth 2.1b to you at the time you bought it and you were ok with it at that price, nothing changed about the implant... so the market fluxuated, it happens.

All this would do is have a bunch of crybabies like yourself, making forums post that they bought the mindlink 2 weeks and 1 days before the patch and din't get a refund.

Prices change in eve all the time, get over it.

I sold 5 or 6 of them when they were only going for 500M, can i get the 1.6B difference each I lost by not holding onto them until the price went up? Willing to just take a SOMER SOE ship instead to make it easier on CCP.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

i am not talking about market inflictions

im talking about a chaneg ccp made for the (again) newer players
so they dont have to work so hard to obtain the mindlink

and yes i did expect ppl to respond to the threst thatswhere i made it for

only i dislike it a lot that so many ppl only respont with trols instead of decent comments

No. CCP simply fixed these so they would be more available again. These links only got so expensive because they used to come from 2 sources: a rare lvl 4 mission reward, and certain COSMOS plexes. Then in 2010 CCP nerfed one of those sources (COSMOS). So instead of reworking that stuff, they decided to make them a LP store item like most every other implant.

I still have a link in a hangar somewhere I only paid 90mil for back before the nerf. I guess I should be clamoring that CCP ruined my chance to sell it for a billion or more.

yes that is why they were called "rare"
and rare items are expensive

if they wanna fix something like that

they could have announced it when they changed the mining system
that would have bin fine

but instead they let the price go skyhigh and than they change it

that the price went up so much had to do with changing the mining system

the biggest problem are the players who are afraid to open theyr mouths
if they disagree on something like this

but they do troll the ppl that do have the balls to go against ccp

The price went up because of the addition of other storyline missions which diluted the supply. You paid 2.1b for something you thought was worth 2.1b and you still have the thing, you lost nothing. You are bad at eve and bad at thinking.
