Well, I've had enough. CCP has made their position clear. The CSM was set up as an interface between their company and us, the playerbase. It has failed miserably. Now it's about who you know in the game, or in the development team. If you know someone inside CCP, you get a free pass. If you are an influential player in the game, or sit at a position of privilege, you get a free pass. The terms of service are interpreted by CCP as they see fit; terms of service are there to be enforced, not interpreted. At the same time, a nobody in the game can be perma-banned without warning under the guise of terms of service enforcement, but members of CCP openly admit that they do not enforce other clauses in their terms of service. CCP has taken the tagline for EVE, "be the villain", and applied it to their management philosophy. No doubt, in a few hours, an ISD lackey or a GM will simply lock this thread as another example of "enforcing" their terms of service. The SOMER Blink fiasco is the last straw for a loyal customer who no longer believes in the integrity of a developer that has been dying from the inside out.

I'm cancelling my sub and it ends on October 18th. I have four accounts and pay £9.99 / month. So that's £39.96 / month CCP will now be losing. I personally know about half a dozen other guys, some also with multiple accounts, who are also considering letting go of the game.

It's not that I'm QQ-ing about a decision I don't like (or is anyone else for that matter). It's the unrelenting, consistent, throw-it-in-your-face level of incompetence that CCP continues to express in its' decision-making. Even the simplest of moves now seem to leave CCP stumbling. Perhaps they should re-consider Youtube as an employment platform?

So, here I am (for < a month more), and I am asking, seriously, for a stand to be made. Search your own hearts and seriously consider whether you are happy handing over the money you spend the hours in your day making to a company that think's you are something to poke with a stick, a cash-cow. If you are not, please stop, else this will become their business model for the next ten years.

Goodbye.

Not only do they not enforce action against constant rule breaking pilots, they have also shown that they only want US customers going forward with the new expansion - amazon US 6 plex for half the price in $ as in £ / €..

You mean the somer blink fiasco where ccp listened to what players said and changed what theyre doing based on it and that would have had and will have zero impact on the game in any way?
sure, i can see why you'd quit over that.

I don't know about you, but I primarily play the game, for the game. Not necessarily the policies that the company enacts.

I'm assuming your post is referring to the two major "scandals" in EVE right now. The TOS changes, and the Blink giveaways. Am I defending what CCP did during both events? No. Do I agree with what they did? Not in the least. Especially with the TOS changes and scam, because that was a very grey area to begin with.

But looking at both of them, neither have really changed the mechanics. You can argue the TOS changes has, but lets face it, it was the first time that issue has come up in 10 years. You can't tell me its affecting core gameplay over a large player base. You can still scam and steal your way to riches. Blink was just a silly decision that, most likely, CCP thought the players would be excited about and not riot.

Long story short: For me, the mechanics of EVE haven't changed with these scandals, thus, I will continue to gladly hand over my money and time. Especially with what I've seen of Rubicon. CCP policies and actions may eventually lead to game mechanics changes, and when they do, I'll begin to worry.

Otherwise, CCP can start clubbing bald eagles with baby seals and I'm going to enjoy this game.

Bye, I'll follow suit in a few weeks... for the most expensive, subscription based game in the market, it simply is too lacing in too many ways... and the mew, "future vision" CCP seams to have right now will not make that any better.
