Hello all

I know this is a long standing issue but i’m hoping mine isn’t as bad

I can’t use my headset mic at all in game. I’m using a 2010 MacPro running Mountain Lion. My headset is a Razer Carcharias connected to a iMic (Griffin). This setup works happily with both Skype and Mumble.

With EVE, I can hear sounds but the mic picks up nothing. I get the dreaded feedback loop sound and when connecting the microphone cable to the iMic and sound cable to the line out, the mic picks up nothing but the feedback loop sound is gone.

I’ve tried using all the available hotkeys for push to talk as well

Any suggestions?

just to update you that I have verified the issue.

Unfortunately at present we cannot respond to you via the bug reporting system which is why you will not have received a response.

Do not loose heart.

Obviously, if anyone else is having this issue, please read the Mac Bug Reporting page on Evelopedia and please let us have your details and requested files.

Sorry, should have added that a GM did respond to my ticket on 4/12/13 and confirmed that the issue is still under investigation.

Thanks for the reponse. Would be great if this could get sorted somehow. It would be a lot better to use EvE Voice rather than a 3rd party app

Sorry, I'm on Mavericks :(

I don't suppose there's any indication of how close they are to a solution?

I just want to know if it's worth waiting or better to bootcamp to Windows? Would be a shame to

I'm actually having more trouble running EvE in Parallels. It's really slow on my Mac and the graphics have taken a big hit. I'll see if i can get it stable enough to try EvE Voice.

Would be awesome if CCP could look at sorting out the Mac client so we can play with everyone in this great universe

The workaround that I can think of would be to switch to using BootCamp.
