CCP Corruption?

Some of us are old enough to remember the T2 BPO scandal. Eve devs were handing out expensive items (T2 BPOs) to players and alliances ingame, just creating them out of thin air. If you were a favorite of CCP's, or had a buddy in the company, you had an unbeatable advantage.

I can't help but see shades of this today. CCP is putting hundreds of billions, if not trillions of isk into the hands of a group of eve players hands because CCP seems to like them. They did not earn these items. They did not win these items. They were merely chosen because someone at the company likes them, and decided to create items out of thin air to give to them.

How is this not some sort of joke? You're giving the ships to Blink under the pretense that the lottery is fair for everyone. CCP's excuse is "it's probably not rigged, good enough for us". Even assuming total fairness, people are going to dump hundreds of billions of isk into the system to try to get these ships. How is this even possible? How has Internal Affairs not stepped in?

I don't know what to say, other than I'm sad I recently resubbed on two accounts and will be voting with my wallet on the other two. I hope you see what you're doing and turn it around, but between the TOS changes and now this, I don't have a lot of faith in CCP right now.

This opinion is better served posted in the original thread, not this self-aggrandizing, soon to be Locked, individualized "Look At Me" attention getter of a post.

If that is indeed true (sources please), then it does seem wrong.

Trouble is, Somer Blink aren't "giving them away", they are selling them (for all practical purposes). So CCP giving them to Somer is the same as giving Somer ISK. Lots and lots and lots of ISK.

Unlike other MMOs, EVE has a similar philosophy to real life. As life isn't fair, so isn't EVE - welcome to the real/internet spaceships world!

The bit that bothers me is less the Somer part, more the Q7 in the dev post..

I think its a good way of putting a few more of these ships into the game, and a chance for any player to obtain them. Name any other (fair) way to bring a few of them in without hosting a competition of some sort. Stop moaning and be happy CCP bother to do this at all.

Why would they be contributing to blink, while blink is a cover for RMT? This sounds counter-productive.

Just another step closer to destroying EVE, thanks CCP.

You fail to see the point(s). We don't want old ships that have history reintroduced. We also sure as hell don't want some isk making lottery site the ones to transfer said items.

First is a slap in the face and then the 2nd comes in a form of a kick to the balls followed by them shitting on you as you lay on the ground in pain.

BBC Radio one DJ playing EVE? Say it ain't so!

Now, point to the developer passing stuff to his alliance so they can run around space with the best gear on.

Can't wait to see this stuff dicking about in Jita on the undock ... don't blink now!

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Yeah this is just ridiculous.

IDK CCP simply aren't that logical. I mean look how much of the game is still buggy. Things that can be easily fixed, and yet they waste their time debating if a ship needs 50 or 100 extra HP.

Wait what?

Do you know anything about development at all? Programmers fix bugs. They are not taken of a project to debate ship rewards.

In no way are those 2 things related.

What historic value do these ships have to the average player? I would guess zero.
Somer has enough isk allready, a few hundred bill more is actually not much to them, i heard they keep more isk than they spend, so its a nice isk sink if only a temporary one.
And stop talking about "We" pls, its just you posting not "We".

Actually it as one dude that worked at CCP, T20. And only one alliance was receiving said t2 BPO's and it was fairly limitted any way. CCP Wrangler and crew apparently took care of it.

You are making it seem like they had some printing press of T2 bpo's spewing out everywhere. If you have some proof of some sort of wrong doing and corruption other than something you think you read in wiki, then lets ride it.

If other wise, i would suggest getting a chin strap for the foil hat you are wearing.

Wait CCP is giving the ISK spammer/scammers free ships? What!

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.
