CCP, don't add in more of a limited edition ship, it ruins the concept of "limited edition".

And if you DO for some reason feel some need to add more of a limited edition ship that has since been exterminated from eve, WHY are you giving it to a lottery corporation that will basically sell them off, with no way of guaranteeing they won't just raffle them them to their own alts!

plus 1 for me, if your going to do something like that, knock something up in the back of the shed, don't just rip the soul from the game about making rare ships that no longer exsist, exsist, and they have also said that they have no idea who will end up with them, as mentions on twitter, them that run somer have'won' eve. You really think, if you were in there postion, that one or two of the ships would be 'won' by an alt??

But its ok because CCP Navigator says he trusts them. He hasn't run a complete audit of all their accounts, or looked through their codebase in order to verify fairness, but dont let details like that get to you

CCP can make this work, imo, by doing two things:

  1. Creating several new rare ships for the purpose rather than tarnishing the classic ones, and
  2. Asking SOMER Blink to purchase those ships. They're a for-profit, fer gawd sakes, and SOMER Blink is going to make bigtime isk on those ships. They for damm sure can afford it, and I for one will quit complaining if CCP does both these things.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Confirming my Somer Blink account got banned when i never bothered to read the rules of a 3rd party website not affiliated with CCP and tried to promo blink with 2 accounts not knowing this was not permitted

I pay my subscription to CCP just like everybody else - Why am I therefore being marginalised and excluded from being able to participate in this "community event" facilitated by CCP ?

The underlying principles here are exactly the same as why certain CCP devs decided to withdraw from several player run channels recently to create their own, given that player moderation / actions were potentially preventing all players from having free and unilateral access to CCP related content.

My Somer Account is blocked - I pay my eve subscription, yet I cannot take part in this event CCP has created, despite me abiding by and adhering to the terms and conditions as layed out by the EULA..

Unless everybody has access to participate in this lottery, then by its own actions, choices and decisions CCP are marginalising and excluding members of their own community since clearly there will be players who cannot take part in this even if they wanted to.

Utterly dreadful decision making, clear favouritism, and by default, not fair to the "whole" community.

Don't be so blind. They're trying to capitulate over specifics so they can go ahead with their overall plan without people acting so mad about it.

They're not giving out the legacy ships but are still spawning items for an ingame group simply because the devs like them.
