However the contract did not show, even after I right clicked the blueprint in the contract and viewed other contracts for it so I could get one, that he wanted a repackaged BPO, not a BPC, but the contract didn't show that.

The blueprints weren't the bad part, only 15 million for it. (Though I bought two thinking the game was glitching)

The Raysere tags were the tough ones, and yes I know I am stupid for not checking the market history on them but hey, I saw 5-6 for 380+ million with a few market orders, none of them were 89d 23h 54m or anything, so in the rush to make 6.5billion off 800ish million I just bought them. (I also noticed you can see on 9/23 the highest sold were for 388m, those were me)

Now I have mails AFTER the scam went down where he wanted to actually buy them back from me for 50m, I told him I bought plex's for isk and tried to play it off as I wasn't even mad.. Idk it just made me feel better I guess since I lost 80% of my entire net worth as I wasn't playing the market anymore and focusing on missioning/salvaging with my accounts.


I have a few in-game mails that have offered to loan me the amount I requested, and I will be sending them my API once they show me how to do that.


Only reason I posted in this thread with this pitiful scam I fell for is because you're all right, this is Eve and you need to protect your name as much as you can.

If you all still don't believe me then I guess if someone happens to give me the loan, I can prove it that way.

Once again, thanks all for your time and interest in my situation.


Cosmetics bot strikes again! and if you look closer they might not all be 89d 23h 54m but ill bet my life they are 89 days 29 days 13 days and 6 days haha. same guy just changed the duration.
also please do ''us'' a favor and just sell them back. because we just want to help you (not really) and if it was one of my items and you decided just to sell it to the highest real buy order you would've just sold them to me for even cheaper :)

your not as bad as the ones who tell me they trashed the damn items and sell them to my buy order a couple days later hahaha


Actually I just undercut him and let him run his scam hoping he wouldn't notice and whoever the next person was would just buy mine back, but we played the undercut game for about an hour before he logged off/left cause he couldn't keep his on top.

Well, after trawling through his API for wallet transactions, I'm left with more questions than answers thus far.
There's one 1b transaction from a "General Maranta" that was explained as a gift from a random person, but to me it feels like an alt transaction (day before, spend 550m on plex, send 150m to Jerek, left with no money, get sudden influx of 1b, send 700m to Jerek). General Maranta, going by contract activity in 2012, was also pretty well off.
Ofc it could be a gift from a kind stranger, but the timing of it all strikes me as a bit odd.

Everything else checks out with his story, if it is a scam it's a very elaborate one :)

If anyone can tell me how to prove General Maranta is not my alt, ANY way, I would be more than happy to do so.

My main's name is Dysheki, so have at it with the investigating as I don't know how to go back and check those things like Vanchelon did.

If you can check corp chat around that time you'll see I'm absolutely ecstatic and dumbfounded as to why he randomly gave me that isk.

Also do you think if I asked CCP they could clarify that our IPs are nowhere near each other? Not to give locations, just that they aren't the same?

If it is, scamming must be going really poorly!
It could of course be the case of someone just now branching into scamming ;)

I'll keep digging, cause I'm curious ;)

Edit: But I haven't given up on him just yet!

You aren't kidding man, as a new player and being completely ignorant on how to prove my legitimacy, it's really aggrivating.

Vanchelon told me how to pull up chat logs though, and I sent him one of when General Marante gave me the isk, and I believe this will clear me, HOPEFULLY! lol

Yeah I'm satisfied (the logs eased my concerns about the General Maranta connection, and they were very detailed so I doubt they were faked) .
It's either the most elaborate scam I've seen for 2 billion, or it's also possible ofc that Jerex decided to start scamming due to being scammed, but even given how really low people sink in EVE, I gotta have some faith in new people.

So I'll take the risk and see what happens. If I get screwed over, at least I had noble intent when I got scammed :D

Hahaha I promise worst case scenario is I sacrifice some food and beer in the fridge and buy some plex to pay you, I appreciate this a lot man, really can't tell you enough!


Now is it alright if I retract my API codes so I do not give away what I trade and where I trade it? ;)

I believe I read a few threads where people have them during the loan duration, so if that's what's needed I will and just stick to trading in jita.

I would prefer to have access to the limited API (wallet etc that we talked about), mostly to see how you're doing. I don't do trading outside of Jita (where I do limited trading, most of my money comes from tech 2 manufacturing and any trading I do is tied into that).

Yup it's definitely past my bedtime, didn't mean to come off like that.
