Well, now I occasionally go to Iceland…

…and I can lord it over my gamer friends that my MMO is better than theirs. But that's about it. I can't say that either of those really shape my life in any significant way.

I told some guy who was shouting to sell his goods on a street corner that I would not fall for his margin trading scam.
This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless

Well, I feel better about not trusting people to begin with.

Game theory, management, organization. Honestly, people should start putting games like this on their resume. Some of these corp have better organization than most U.S. companies.

I find real life is a nice occasional respite from the hyper-tense, disappointment-fueled, predatory maze that is New Eden.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

While heading to work at night and driving through some seedier areas on the south side of Chi-town, I mentally note what the security standings for the area would be and how often I see Concord (police).

EVE has helped me realize that all life is interconnected. I mean really.

I once had a good part-time job that I liked very much and that i would work at a few times a week after getting off from my full time job. I had a good boos till he retired and this guy named Charles C. Pruitt took over and decided to streamline the operation. The FIRST thing chuck did was reduce my hours. So I quit.

That night I went home and realized that CCP had nerfed the hell out of one of my favorite ships. Then it hit me, the new Bosses initials where also "CCP" and the FIRST thing he did was nerf my job right out from under me.

Moral of the story is that anything named CCP is going to screw you Twisted

Eve has taught me that scams are even more commonplace than I naively thought.

I now see scams everywhere. Sure, they may not be as malicious/aggressive/intense as Eve scams (the ones that are I was always aware of)...but I now see the 'smaller' scams for what they are.

Thank goodness the building next to me has wifi.
