I've recently returned from a long break and was wondering what happened to the stock markets. EGSEx and RESX no longer exist so I'm wondering what if any Stock Exchanges are running?

It seems like even the most reputable EVE stocks, with trusted people who dilligently manage spread sheets and report on their genuine initial earnings regularly.....

.... see their CEO's evenually go emo and steal all the isk assets.

I'm sure there are some people here better at vetting than others. I'm sure the rate of return is high enough on some to pay for some losses for people really good at it.

I bet many of the shorter term projects with defined endings initiated by players with skill point allocations and corporate histories paint to them being a game player that is excited about the game and new enough to return their first offerings before they have time to be jaundiced and go emo.... are better risks.

You'll still see bond offerings here... probably far better way to go than hoping someone will run an operation for years and continue to pay you as an owner without ever getting tired of "writing you checks" instead of keeping the isk from their efforts for themselves. Emo resentment leads to "nyah ha ha I'm a villain now" justification.

Not really that remarkable or even that unacceptable at all given the PVP dominated game environment.
