By leaving out renters you make N3 look much smaller than they are

I think that just reinforces the fact that without renters N3 is pretty much nothing.

How does 'nothing' literally control half of the map? More regions than the CFC...supercaps?

100% realtalk question, no troll

Yeah, I wouldn't call those supercaps "nothing".

It allows a lot of things when they fight others (eg: Solar). For example it's fun to use blap dreaads on enemy battleships. It's also nice to use your own battleships on their cruisers.

I wouldn't worry about us vs. n3. Too be honest, we are all going to get destroyed by miners in high sec eventually. True story.

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.

Why must we always be the invader. I'd like to stay at home for once. I lost a low-grade slave clone this last time around to a poorly timed pod express.

Please someone invade us

Please?

Guys?

Nah, Weve been happy not invading anyone for nearly 10 years now [well, besides that brief stint with -A-].

No reason to start now.

CCP should brace the servers, if an N3/CFC conflict goes down it may just be the most epic war in the history of gaming.

Consider how massive the numbers are on both sides. Honestly I bet a lot of pilots don't care which way it goes, we just want a goddamn total war, an apocalypse that'll destroy everything in a glorious ball of fire.

(Hell, just for this round CCP should give us spacenukes so we can bomb each other to the stone age, turning Nullsec into Mad Max-esque wasteland!)

It is far too profitable to farm the insane amount of wealth available in null sec.

So what is CCP supposed to do exactly when players in a sandbox happen get together and decide to punk the rest of the universe?

No more Freindsies?

Not a sandbox when null mechanics allow only one mode of conquering null sec. When the server stops protecting the blocs with timers and mails and requires the players to not only take (drop a tcu and go to sleep while it onlines) but actively defend (requires people to be in those systems and report invasions rather than relying on emails from the server) than it will truly be a sandbox.

Null at the moment is a theme park, fights are prearranged, blob fests generated because the server told the alliance it was under attack, the alliance picked a convenient time for the fight, no spontaneity there, and the only people able to damage anything or do any harm are the other big blobs.

If CCP did what you suggest smaller alliances would have trouble holding onto single systems. There is a sound reason for the use of timers in the current sov mechanics. If a 10,000 man coalition has problems mustering for a single timer, how is a 1000 man alliance going to do it?

If you're incapable of holding sov then you shouldn't hold it. If you're incapable of recruiting from other timezones you should lose sov to people that arnt. Player actions not server actions should decide who earns the right to a system. It would consequently solve many of the lag issues since there would be more dynamic smaller alliances rather than one or two huge US / Euro / Russian ones.

Thats a piece of bullshit.

Large Alliances allready have people in every timezone and if there where no timers the larger group of people could just steamroll the whole galaxy like N3 and pl did when their renter space dropped.
With no timers you would have to allways be rdy to log into the game with all you people because if not and you go to sleep for a few hours all your towers or sov could be blown up.

ncdot was only there because it was the only place there was action

that's why them running away wasn't such a ~shameful display~

We could try if there weren't timers...

I don't know what would happen to Boat's power level though.
