im wanting to buy a Rorqual but the only ones for sale are in low sec space
i have never used jump drives before so here are a couple game mechanic questions
if i undock from a station and activate my jump drive and someone webs me or warp scrambles me
will it stop me from jumping away also will it stop me from re docking?

You will be able to dock even while scrambled, but you wont be able to jump out of the system.

Also please keep in mind that Rorquals can not enter high sec, and they can not use gates.

Web no. Warp Scram yes. You cannot jump while scrambled or distrupted. Also bubbles will stop you from jumping in null sec.

The mechanics of jumping with a capital of any kind require you to light a cyno generator from another toon (or have someone else do it for you) in some other low sec or null sec region within jump range of you.

Jump range is determined by your skills at jump drive calibration. There are some out of game tools you can use which can calculate your jump range for you and let you know what systems are in range of you.

You will also need fuel. Your fuel consumption is determined by your skill at jump fuel conservation.

jump freighters can be used in high sec yes.

you can jump out of highsec into low (or null) but you cannot use the jump drive to re enter high sec and have to use stargates like all ships when you head back into highsec.

No problem at all, and dont worry, at some point im sure the skills will be useful for you Smile
But the same rules goes for all capital ships (carriers, titans, dreads, supercaps) with the exception of jump freighters (some will consider a there capital ships), which can use both gates (enter high sec like a non cap ship) and use cynos to move around.

And before someone says something, yes there is a few capital ships in high sec (carriers and dreads). These ships were built in high sec before the changes and the pilots follow very specific rules that allows them to keep them in the system they are currently located Smile
