Gun grouping issues?

I've started encountering a problem with only having 1 gun out of a group of 8 firing. I have bug reported it but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed it and if there's any workarounds other than keeping my weapons ungrouped. I remember this happening years ago but haven't encountered it for a long time, possibly it's a bug that's been reintroduced by a recent patch?

Kind of annoyed to be discovering it when trying to shoot players instead of NPCs, do you think I can petition CCP to blow up people's ships and give me the loot?
