This is the root of the issue, and has been covered many many times in the past 3+ years I've been playing. There is a thread somewhere in Features and Ideas about it and CCP is quite aware of it.

Something in-between an Orca and the Freighter line would indeed be great as long as it's for packaged cargo and ore, but the Orca is just fine for what it was designed to do.


it isn't even an issue; if it doesn't fit in an orca buy a freighter. just because you don't fill all 900k cargo space in a freighter doesn't stop it being useful or isn't fulfilling it's role.

I'd like to get three assembled hulks in an orca but even without that, it's still one of the best ships in the game.

i think, ideally i'd like to see the hulk reduced t 150k m3, the skiff increased to 150k m3, and the ship bay increased by 50k, then it can carry 3 of any exhumer rather than the odd arrangement we have now.

Not everyone can just go out and buy a freighter and of course such changes would cause a loss of business for black frog.

yes they can, if they can afford an orca they've basically got enough cash for a freighter. a freighter costs what, 2 plex and a bit of loose change from the back of the sofa?
