What a remarkable read. As I sit here never ever undocking from jita 4 I dream that I too was possessed of such carefree innocence as our unique tourist. But I am filled with the fear and the cynicism that age brings.

I wait impatiently for more words of your travels. Your blend of naivety and bravery is a beauty to behold. Perhaps one day, when all of new eden has been made safe. Safe from orgiasts and perpetrators of violence and when a decent but not to expensive hotel chain is opened, then perhaps I will take the Bus Tour "the TwoFlower Tour".

In fact why should I wait for it to be available, I shall start spamming Jita with my sales pitch already.

So my Son go forth and Travel, I shall enjoy the read perhaps you will even make me some Isk..

Yours in Admiration

Thank you to everyone who has suggested locations for me to visit in my daring travels, whether they be legitimate tourist hotspots or just new places for me to be podded.

I am in the process of compiling a nice big list of my chosen destinations, so the astute amongst you can point me in the right direction if I have missed any. Though, I won't be flying them in any order that makes sense to the common man! Twoflower Octiron goes where the pearwood takes him!

When i went to eve gate it was a quiet time of day and the one person i saw had somehow messed up his avatar to look all grotesque and toothy. Kind of a jolt.
Idly reading descriptions i happened upon Konora, which still claims that a black hole is visible from that system, went there, found the usual lowsec silliness and -10 dude who spams fleet invites.

Some location descriptions are just words, but no journey is worthless.

On Behalf of Fruidian Logic part of Volition Cult I remember seeing you in system that night in Y-M hope you enjoyed your stay and tour of Y-M and D6, unfortunatley certain death was inevitable as we are currently at war in that area, while some view CVA as "weak" I am a realtive newcomer like yourself to EVE and find the fleets and roams and pvp quite plenty for me to learn, gla you set your clone to our station message me ingame glad to see your having fun in your travels and dont let gate camps or anything else deter you from doing what you enjoy. great read keep the posts coming I had a great time reading all 4 pages of this thread and perhaps a youtube Vlog of this as well.

Happy adventuring fellow new eden pilot o7 safe travels

A wonderful adventure: Where to go next?

Sorry, this is not the next part, per se. It is however an integral process for this most epic of journeys. As I mentioned before, I want to visit two kinds of places:
- All major alliances/alliances with intriguing names and to get a photograph of their home station (or whichever I claim to be the home station) and to hopefully meet some of their pilots
- Interesting, rare, hard to access or beautiful locations across the entirety of the universe.

Unfortunately, I know so little about New Eden so I rely somewhat on your help for picking the best places to go. I have identified 28 alliances that meet my stringent conditions and will visit these in a random and unpredictable order.
I have also identified some intriguing exciting locations to visit with the help of respondents in this thread. I have also compiled a wishlist of things I'd like to see or do - Here I may need some help in identifying precisely where i might access some of these. Others, I am content to fly around until I run into it!

This totals 57 locations to visit. 100 is the upper limit, so please suggest 43 other places to go or cool things to do:

1)Against all Authorities
2) Babylon 5
3) Brothers of Tangra
4) Curatores Veritatis Alliance – 9UY4-H
5) Darkspawn
6) Darkness.
7) Darkness of despair
8) Executive outcomes
9) Gentlemen's agreement
10) Get off My Lawn - UB-UQZ
11) Fatal ascension
12) Goonswarm federation
13) Greater Western co-prosperity sphere
14) Hand of despair
15) Insidious empire
16) Legion of xXDEATHXx
17) Northern associates
18) Northern coalition.
19) No value
20) Nulli Secunda
21) Pangu coalition
22) Razor Alliance
23) Rebel alliance of New Eden
24) Spacemoney's Alliance
25) The east india co.
26) The Kadeshi
27) Venal
28) Why so serious

29) A wormhole and to meet some people there and be shown around
30) An alliance mining operation
31) To photograph the rarest ore
32) To visit the most northerly, southerly, easterly and westerly systems
33) To meet the pilot with the highest bounty
34) To witness a POS being shot
35) To witness a fight
36) First titan lost
37) Side by side picture with a working titan
38) To take a jump bridge
39) To join a fleet of over 1,000 pilots
40) The station of the first alliance made
41) First station built
42) Biggest battle fought
43)To visit some of the rarest sites in space that have to be scanned down – involves someone taking me there. I've been to a relic site.
44) Poitot – apparently unique to Syndicate
45) T-IPZV – A rare shattered planet
46) EC-P8R – for the well known phrase “GET THE POD”
47) Amarr – To meet Chribba and his veldspar mining revelation
48) Siseide – Allegedly the last stronghold of the Ammarrian militia
49) I-NGI8 – To see The Kadeshi's mighty fleet
50) Seyllin 1 – to see an exploded planet!
51) Jita monument/Jita – Busiest place in the universe
52) Black monolith – sounds intriguing and I was so close before! This might have to be one of the last places to visit, on my way back to New Eden.
53) Operation Highlander (Luminaire) – Some burning remains of an epic crash!
54) CONCORD Headquarters in Yulai – to complain about my faulty passport!
55) Ishukone Headquarters in Malkale – Also still burning, apparently.
56) A Sansha wormhole – What is one of these?
57) 6VDT-H - because apparently we all know what happened there!

Youll be disappointed to know that fleets max out at just over 250. Although fights with 2k+ people happen once or twice a year.

The idea is nice and its something different for a change.

That said , you state to be looking for those stories you heard about eve. You'll find that stories usually come to live when you ''experience'' them so in your case the stories your gonna have mostly are about gatecamp x or y and smacktalker local x or y.

Still as said , it's something different and i wish you fun on your trip.

Part 6: Executive Decisions

Clearly the signal that I had followed to this system was a joke by some prankster who was at this very moment hiding behind a veldspar rock, laughing at me. I powered my shuttle down, crawled into bed and didn't leave it for a week. I brooded, brooded, slept and brooded some more.

Then it hit me!

The veldpsar rock that is.

I woke with a start.

I'd also had an epiphany. Who has ever heard of mystical signals? Who ever got anywhere by having it handed to them? Who doesn't have to work to become the best? The answer is of course: ghost hunters, aristocrats and geniuses. I, however, was none of these and realised this; I had to make my own luck.

I launched out of bed, landing squarely in my chair and fired up the shuttle, whereupon I had the shock of my life. There was a man, in the system and he was willing to talk to me. This is what he had to say:
Worst saviour ever

He promptly jumped out of the system, giving me no help whatsoever. He even wished me luck in getting home! Home. Where is that for a nomadic tourist like me? My clone resides in CVA space and whilst I like those guys, I'm not sure they'd adopt me and call me one of their own. I came into this world in a station deep in empire space, I left it half an hour later and never looked back. I had no home to go to, so I resolutely ignored his luck giving and waited for the saviour that I knew would come.

Unfortunately, that saviour turned out to be the same man and he was very serious about helping me get back 'home':
Seriously, who is this guy helping here?

“This is an unfortunate turn of events” I replied casually in an attempt to throw him off. For what began now was a deadly game of cat and mouse, the winner would claim this system. I had damn well sat in this system long enough awaiting someone to come and answer my questions so by golly I was going to win this and wait until they bothered to turn up! So naturally, after a whole 15 minutes of warping around constantly to avoid being hunted down, he grew bored and left the system.

I was victorious.

I was exhausted and collapsed.

The following day I did not wake up with as much gusto as the previous day, the events that had followed made me apprehensive as I peered at the ships scanner. But at long last my perseverance had paid off and I knew that following the mysterious white circle was the best decision of my journey so far:
Answers at last

This may not seem like much, but Panosp is a hero amongst men. He informed me that in this area of 0.0 that many people are “renters” - these are alliances who rent space from other alliances. Perhaps you're wondering where the 'saviour' bit comes in? Well, Panosp informed me of a station owned by Northern Associates, one of the alliances on my list, and undoubtedly the next step on my quest to dock at a station. It was in the next system.

He also informed me that in order to dock at an alliance's station I needed them to grant me positive standing and that no, I could not just ask them for it. My epiphany the previous day echoed in my head, who gets anywhere by having it just handed to them? I pictured myself embarking on an epic quest to win the hearts and minds of Northern Associates, perhaps to slay a titan or rescue an exotic dancer; I would dodge gate camps by day and drink Quafe in seedy bars by night. It turns out however that this high honour is granted only to other friendly alliances, one of which, I am not. This could be problematic, so I jumped into AXDX-F.

Panosp had informed me that Northern Associates don't really have a 'home' station so to speak, so I decided that for this evening, the station in AXDX-F would be it and proudly took my picture:
Me at the station!

It was at this point that I had a stunning revelation. I didn't have to join an alliance at all. Allow me to explain, you see, all alliances are made up of corporations so all I had to do was join one and have the alliance give them the required standing. Thus removing the considerably onerous task of creating a vast empire for the sake of docking in a station. What's more, I could make my own corporation. This, was utter genius.

Now I just had to find out how to make one:
Getting help from Northern Associates

This was brilliant. I had flown 52 jumps to discover that I needed to join an alliance in order to gain the standings to allow me to dock. I however had circumvented this tedious business and decided I would make my very own corporation. The only problem was, I didn't want to fly 52 jumps back the way I had come.

Part 6: Executive decisions (2)

NaNNeR HaMMeR had a solution:
Express ride back

My clone was safely delivered to my CVA friends in F-YH5B and I wasted no time in putting my plan into action. Only to find this:
Office denied?

Apparently my plan is a blatant breach of SEC rules! For a moment I felt like taking a leaf out of Against All Authorities book and blatantly disregarding such nonsense and setting my corporation up in a disused locker room until the SEC saw sense and granted me a proper office. I vented my fury to the unfortunate pilots of CVA:
Ranting and raving

I wouldn't have it said that Twoflower Octiron flouts the rules though, as the first holder of an official New Eden passport I felt it only right that I uphold the rules and follow protocol. I promptly set my course to the nearest low security system where I could safely make my corporation. I docked in the system of Mamet, the Zoar and Sons factory to be precise and wondered if these divine signs would cease to follow me. One office left for rental it said. I knew then, that my office must reside here.

Here it is. The tourists of New Eden corporation.
Power is mine!

I leaned back and grinned. This was good. I had real power now. A tourist, under the wing of the New Eden tourist board, CEO of his very own corporation. I began to giggle, then cackle and before long I was hooting manically in my pod. New Eden, beware, for Twoflower Octiron is prepared and he is going to photograph you!

I made my first executive decision: To convince Against All Authorities to abandon their crusade against order and to grant me docking rights to their stations.

I like this so far, can't wait to hear your next adventure, good luck wherever you go.

If you happen to be stopping by Derelik or through Curse, give Hashashin Cartel a call, we could arrange for you to see some of those events on your list, like seeing a good fight or a POS taking fire, we have some fleets that fly to destroy other corps poses from time to time
