Insane FPS drop

I noticed that while using CTRL to attempt lock on a target that is either invul or out of range, (multiple clicks per sec) my FPS drops down from a steady 60, to way below 10-20 (if not even 1-5)

anyone else noticeing this? basicly most actions will make the fps drop
