Can we PLEASE get some sort of acknowledgement of the freeze bug?

There's a 27-page thread on it, with new voices popping in weekly.

No dev has said a word about it since 2011. Bugs reported are closed as "un-creatable."

Are you interested in supporting Mac users? Are you talking to Transgaming about it? Could you give us an update to an issue that was reported over 2 years ago and makes the game unplayable?

This game isn't playable on Mac as far as I'm concerned. They should just drop support for it. I've been trying to run it on Mac for months and have tried every trick in the book; I still freeze up every 2 to 5 minutes after launching the game. I just bootcamp into Windows. Transgaming stuff simply doesn't work well.

Yep me too, bootcamp is the way.

I disagree

Actually the last Dev response was June 2012. 15 months.
I got a feeling they are doing little about it because all the Devs that use the Mac client and all the bug hunters that use the Mac client do not get it, or at least do not get it in sufficient quantity to allow testing of it. That's the problem with this bug: Its so different for different players. I have not had a freeze in over a week, despite hours of play and even running 3 clients at once.

But I do get it every once in awhile. So it sure would be nice for some interaction with CCP on this issue.

Yup. Got it at random a few hours ago, while sitting in a POS shield.

My hunch is that the low-level memory leak bug they recently quashed has friends and neighbors. If you have a mysterious crash that happens at apparently random times, it's that or something like that.

MacBook Pro 17", 2010, High end hardware from the little choice there was.

The fix to freezing for me was simply to Disable Sound from all clients, which is sad because I cannot enjoy the lovely soundscape. Tripleboxing works with 'no' problem. There remains one freeze per week, which is on par with the crashrate on a Windows platform.

Bootcamping is an easy way out if this. However, that will drop touchpad gestures. And Mac graphics are much more dynamic. Colors are more intense and all ships look better. The backgroud space is Black, not greyish black.

Do you guys have experience with the Retina MacBook Pros of 2013?
