Bumping off stargates

Hello, have you ever tried flying a fast ship into a stargate, and got bumped away from jumping distance before the client started jumping? not by someone else, but because your ship was "too fast"?

I noticed a few patches ago, that it was taking longer, from when you pressed jump, to when the game actually started jumping... it was not long after this, that my first interceptor was lost because I bumped myself away from the gate in a gatecamp, a hilarious way to lose a ship.

Theres two problems involved with this issue, first of all....

1: fast ships with mwd on, approach objects/ships really slow if they are close to them, 3-5km distance, have you ever tried to sit 3km away from a stargate with your mwd on in a ceptor or dramiel, and tell the ship to jump while your mwd is on? it takes quite a while to go those 500m into jump distance... it's like the closer you are, the slower you go... there are workarounds yes, I already know about these, but they are irrelevant right now - http://youtu.be/InT8NG3EU18 here is an example that I am currently uploading, it will be done in 10-20 mins time from now.

2: Jump initiation has become slower, in the past, I remmeber that when you clicked jump, the action started within 1 sec (first server tick) of when you clicked... it might have been slower the jump itself in the past, but your ship would become invul earlier and even if you bumped off gate during this, you would still be jumping... since the game now takes longer to registere that you want to jump, your more likely to get killed by hostiles camping gates (double edged sword)

I might be wrong, and the jump initiation could have been this slow for a very very long time, memory is tricky like that... I tried counting how long it takes, and it seems like it's about 2+ sec from when you click or get in range of the gate, that the "jumping" shows up

What I mostly wanna hear is... could you improve this area of the game to avoid players bumping off the gate when they approach at full speed
