Pretty normal lately with small developers.

So late to this party, but whatever.

As a programmer myself its pretty normal to move on at some point. Sooner or later the same project/code base/game is simply not going be a stimulating job. People move from jobs all the time.

The moving looks even rather normal at least IIRC the timing of hiring before others leaving, while the reins are passed on (not necessarily to the new team members).

AKA the scientist.

Hahahaha! That's really him? He looks about double the age that I thought he was. Everyone needs a break now and then, let's hope PZ uses his time off wisely, which means taking writing lessons at the very least. IMO no great loss.

Edit: that's actually one of the most cogent and insightful things he has ever posted. I agree with most of the points he makes.
