CCP Pay is a bit **** compared to most other places.

EDIT: it's a iceland problem tho, not a CCP problem. icelandic IT jobs just pay less.

Most people, working at the same job for year after year, get kinda bored.


If you come from the Northeast USA,, then you might have at least one relative who "got the job right after the war and worked there ever since" and that one relative was the one who was as dumb as a post, nearly incoherent, stuck on habits like baked-on paint, suffering from health issues, and always irritated and jumping to (the easiest) conclusions about everything.


So yeah, people are going to change jobs once in a while.

While we have no issue with people discussing the choice of a member of our staff to part ways with the company and set course on a different path with another company, we have zero tolerance for personal attacks against members of CCP Staff.

People change jobs quite often in the gaming industry actually. As you gain more experience and knowledge, more opportunities open up for you. Actually, this is quite common in all jobs also. You slowly work your way up to better and better things.

The CCP employees that left felt that they would do better elsewhere, simple as that. It's not that CCP is doing poorly, quite the opposite, just that they feel they can advanced their career from moving, that's it, no hard feelings.

I more=so wonder which company is the better to create in? For sure Money, resources and tools count. How many look at how accessible data is and able collated enough to be useful though. I bet CCP's data mangement is better than these new startups. Still, being able to migrate sends a good signal that a person has been accepted into an inner fold of creative developers, that they are not just code monkeys but a resource appreciated for ideas they can bring to a game. I wish them well and hope they bring gaming as a whole up to our level elsewhere.

There is no worry`s the got better payment the left. Dont see any point to put eve online in danger. This happens on every job in the world even YES even on game companies. Idea think before you speculate.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I run a wheat farm in Bosnia, looking for C++/FoxPro/VB/Photoshop designers to pull the plow and work the plantation cause one of my oxen died from a heat stroke.

Accepting ingame applications :)

Forgot to mention, I pay well, you will have a small shed with some hay for sleeping and 3 square meals a day.

Exactly. I know CCP has a good atmosphere to work in but is widely known also that they pay much less than the leading industry organizations. Maybe it is time to step up a bit to retain the talents.
