Sorry about the delay for the video production but I got busier than expected.

I also have a few problems if not bugs or errors on my end but nothing I couldn't fix so far.

I also compare with Evepraisal - Price check Eve Online items from Cargo Scans ...
That works for in case the asset input is faulty or malfunctioning.
I managed to open all stations and Ctrl + A all items although that doesn't include ship cargo hold.

Some of the known errors is what seems to be a bug that cause the EWA to close.
I then just restart it (EWA) and try to avoid the process causing it (to close with an error message).

What I like the most is the easy to read MS-Excel .XLS format spreadsheet.
I should then eventually be able to extract data from them.

(I can also try to make some more detailed report for the bugs or errors.
However, it may very well be a hardware or config issue.
If the latter is the case, then I will try to include the hardware and config specs.
Please be aware that it is not running from my system, and probably not running in Admin mode.)

As mentioned before: assets was never the strong part of EWA. Think of it as "added fluff". I always recommend jEveAssets, if you're heavy into 'Asset Management'.

ty, that might be faster for me. I had to keep track of both assets and wallets journal / transactions due to PI.
If I get more pod pilots to do more PI that may become even more important.
There also are not High Sec POS which I am not sure about but would further add to those (production) costs.

It takes a long time to use 'Evepraisal' since every station has to be clicked.
It would become impossible as the assets grow, added to the multi pod pilot factor.

Nonetheless, I needed your program for the fact that EVE does flush Wallet Transactions / Journal data periodically.
(Whenever they need to try to improve or upgrade I guess...)
I lost many initial costs and income which I would now be able to refer as comparison for (the) said income / costs.
Your program would have, does and will save me the risk of future occurence.

(The main reason I currently use asset data is to know where to send hauler(s).
I then plan to sell the extra assets with trader(s) and increase capital.
There will be other uses for it in the future, such as comparing the relative values based on time and jumps per locations.)

No.

I've explained that numerous times: there's a clear defined time range for which the API provides data: 1 month. No guessing needed.

Yeah, badly worded (=missing a condition) by me. But I'm slowly losing my patience with you. You keep reiterating a topic which has long been known and explained. Not sure what your problem is.

Please check the previous pages of this thread, the other two EWA threads linked in the OP and EWAs manual. The way caching works has been explained more than once in detail there.

And although the GM is right in this matter, keep in mind that GMs in general don't have indepth knowldge about how the API works.

Ya threw a lot of German at me with that dialogBlink, but I figured the content of the .ERR was good enough for our purposes?

Hi

I seem to have the same problem as truth, or rather i get the same error message and CTD. have followed all the suggestions that has been made in the tread so far.

Install as admin
run as admin
run in compatibility mode
bypass av and firewall
check APi key with other 3rd party apps
check api proxy setting

I havent however downloaded and installed the MS Core XML service yet.

Just wondered if you could maybe help out, I will need to confess knowing squat diddly of code and whatnot

Thanks

Hi Uru,

Truth is so kind and tries to help me figuring out what the problem is. Once I solved that issue, I'll upload a fixed version and post a notice here.

What we've figured out so far seems to indicate that my earlier suspicion of a missing/corrupt MS XML installation is not the problem. Therefore you don't need to try that one.

I'm afraid I can't help you more at the moment. Sad

Update: with Truth's help, I seem to have been able to solve the issue. Big smile

I need to go through the code again and remove some debugging code before I can release a new version. This will most likely not happen this year, though.

I've finally come around to publish the now (hopefully) fixed version of EWA.

Use EWA's update mechanism or refer to the opening posting of this thread to download the newest version.

If you're using EWAAutoData along with EWA, it's crucial to update it, too.

ok been trying to retrieve journal data for corp. i got normal character to work. but cant seem to pull corp journal.
i get the runtime error 364 when opening journal, then ewa crashes.
been using full api it seems before i had trouble getting this to work. btw i'm ceo of the corp with full access. and logs are showing its not pulling the api data from site. read some some post a while ago saying there was a trick to get it to work. although i cant seem to find the post anylonger. ^^ i was hoping u could clear it up a bit.

Ps want to thank you for this program. there are likely many very many people thankful that you have put your time and effort into this project. as a old horrible programmer i am i know exactly how much work this is =) thanks again

Hi kara,

first of all, thanks for your kind words, much appreciated.

Could you please check the application log (Extras -> Application log) see if you could spot errors that might potentially related to retrieveng the wallet journal?

The error 364 and EWA crashing is only an indirect result of missing journal entries. I'm trying to store the last position & layout of the window ... in this case a window which doesn't exist ... and obviously I also failed to add proper error handling for that case.

Unlike with the old API system, where (ingame) role also granted the right API rights, with the "new" API keys, you need to specify the rights for an API key when creating the key. If you're a CEO ingame, but the flag for (corp) journal access for this char is not set when generating the API key, the API can't retrieve journal data. Same's true the other way around: if you're not at least Junior Accountant ingame, enabling journal access in the API doesn't yield any results.

had a api with all selected so its completley full api for new the new api system. i figured out y i could pull personal i had to add a another account with the corp only selected seems kinda redundant but it works now just on separate accounts added to the ewa. so i'm happy just would like to request a feature in the journal if api has the info. add a sort by corp in the journal so u can manage poco's so u can see how much each corp pulls from ur pocos instead of just by player. ^^ btw thanks again ^^ the error u were asking about though was api error

HTTP Error: 400, Bad Request, URL: https://api.eveonline.com/corp/WalletJournal.xml.aspx, Params: keyID=xxxxxxxxx&vCode=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&accountKey=1001&rowCount=2560&fromID=0

few more errors were different only by accountky 1001-1006

API keys, you're doing it wrong.

Yes, you have to create two separate API keys for personal and corporation access. But you don't have to create two EWA accounts. Just copy and paste both keys into the appropriate fields in the EWA account screen.

As for your feature request, the wallet journal provides only two dedicated identification fields for the involved parties, which EWA palready presents as 'To' and 'From/For', both of which are already sortable (right-click on the grid -> 'Sort by ...').

If the info is hidden anywhere else (like in the field EWA currently presents as 'Misc.'), I'm afraid I can't help you at this point, as I don't do any PI and therefore have no clue how the returned data does look like.

I get an error message when trying to run the installer: "An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file."

EWA itself seems to install fine but it has problems installing the database. Downloading the blank database seemed to be a workaround but then I ran into a problem when trying to retrieve characters from eve API: I get a HTTP Error: 403, Forbidden.

Does the API key you created allow to fetch the (private) character sheet?

This one? Yeah its a full api key and I'm using the same key to fetch the last 1000 market transaction entries into google docs so the key itself is working fine.
