Chessur is right.

AAR's do counteract a lot of the disadvantages of dual tanking, taking it from being absolutely stupid to being just a bit stupid.

But you know, its still very suboptimal, doesn't add a lot to your fit and is generally a wasted slot. Put a overdrive/nano in, going fast is never a waste.

Im noticing a trend that is as generally the older players who are saying this fit is not good. I cant help but say this is an example of people getting set in their ways and having a hard time adapting and changing to new fitting styles and possibilities. For my part, i know the dual active tank, just for this fit, is superior to the fitting suggestions above by Chessur and Garviel.

In a strictly solo 1v1 situation - if flown right (thats the key) - it will kick ass.

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

And tell me, when was the last time you got into an honerable 1v1 fight? it rarely if ever happens in eve- because people are very risk averse. Having more speed or DPS is going to always be better than tank in most situations. Just like how kiting is superior to brawling 100% of the time for solo or small gang. The blob factor / ECM is just a killer.

1v1s happen a lot. Just because TEST is in the warzone means everything now is done in fleets because both sides are finding strength in numbers... but BlackRise before TEST was here, and I'm sure after they're gone will still be solo heaven.

It is pretty easy to find 1 v 1 in FW space. Plexes actually encourage it. I use the term 1 v 1 loosely though. Many (but not all) will have OGB.

As above. FRAPS the fights and review afterwards. If you're anything like me you'll be making totally stupid mistakes (oh, forgot to launch drones again...)

If you still can't figure it out post them here and people will be happy to advise.

Been there lol 2 times after each other i forgot lolz.
Sometimes i still do.
But it's not the first thing i do because i rather get in range of him to web and scram him.
I myself fly a tormentor with low to no success, but thats just maybe that i pick the wrong kind of type ships to fight with.
