Can't launch client...

As stated, I can't launch the eve client. Started yesterday, I am using a new user on my computer because the old is corrupted (or something), nothing else has changed on the computer except using different user.

-Created new user, transferred settings
-Eve launcher works, but will not launch eve itself (instance shows up in processes every time I launch, however)
-Eve worked last night briefly when using launcher started from launcher bin folder
-Patch; launcher won't patch because some error
-Finally fixed by CCP, eve patches correctly but won't launch the client again. Launcher opens, "launches" game, but nothing happens. New instance shows up in processes each time game is "launched"

As of now, I have tried every solution I can think of short of reformatting my comp. I have tried launching from every option in the eve folders (exefile, etc.) deleted launcher cache and settings, disabled and uninstalled firewalls and antiviruses, checked admin settings, uninstalled and redownloaded eve, repaired eve, run the free windows registry repairer tool, sacrificed several pounds of coffee to Bob himself, and still the same problem. At this point idk who's to blame and what the source of the problem is, since I had a corrupt user profile but after some tinkering it was working last night, then suddenly patch and boom no more eve again.

TL;DR when I launch eve from the launcher, nothing happens, but an instance appears in processes. What am I missing?

Uninstall Eve and the eve folder in the users folder. Install Eve again, but in another folder (something like /program files/eve2).

The launcher is a pain in the ass. really.

Seriously though, could you explain why that would work? Last time I redownloaded took like 12 hours, I don't want to try again unless there's a good reason...

Incorrect. I did not impersonate a helpful person. At the very least, I impersonated being a troll, because I'm actually just a fat nerd.

It worked for me when i had a problem. I don't know why. If you have Eve already installed, try to rename the folder or try renaming eve.exe to eve1.exe.

By the way, do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

Yup... I tried renaming the eve.exe too, didn't change anything :(

Have you tried the compatibility mode? Like winXP SP3? (for both the launcher and eve.exe)

I have not, but the problem is that the launcher will usually not launch the client, but it will say it did. I'm currently logged in on one character because it worked briefly about an hour ago, but now I can't log in my alt (same problem) and I'm afraid if I log out I won't be able to log back in again...

I assume you've already done the clear launcher cache, repair tool, etc?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Yup did those, everyone I talk to has a new idea and it seems like I've tried everything. As far as I can tell now, it will eventually work if I just sit here launching, waiting, ending process and launching again enough times, but really shouldn't be something I have to go through.

I have had the same issue going on for days. I even uninstalled the game and then tried to reinstall, no luck. Now my PC won't even install a fresh version of Eve or the Eve client. I get a message about a failed archive. A GM finally contacted me but apparently didn't read the messages on the ticket because he asked me for the client log file....there isn't one if you uninstall.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Not all of my accounts are training now and I doubt I will be given that time to my account or added as training time.

Yeah I lost a few days training time too, but I have a working solution I'm using. I noticed it works eventually I just need to keep trying for long enough. So, my daily routine now begins with 20-30 minutes of attempts until I succeed.

I never had problems with the launcher before, didn't understand what everyone was bitching about until now...

Did you guys get this resolved? I just swapped out my GTX 570 for two R9 270x's and am now having this problem. I type in my password, hit launch, launcher says "launching" and eve instance appears (minimized) but then promptly goes "Not responding" and that's it. Let me know if there is a solution.
