make the buyback quadratic / exponential / absurd increase in plex cost per month bought.

1 month at 1600 sp/hr (lower than the lowest bad map/no implant rate) = 2 plex
2nd month = 2^2 = 4 plex
3rd month = 3^3 = 27 plex (over 2 YEARS worth of subscription)
4th month = 4^4= 256 plex

go ahead. pay to "win."

As I posted earlier, make the purchase only with real cash - not Plex. Also, your idea is stupid - a fixed cost per 1 Mil skill points is the way forward.

for one, that only benefits the wealthy.

So what? if you've failed at real life then that's your problem not mine.

and for you to think this would go over well with the old timers here means you arent in touch with the players or the game for that matter.

I couldn't give a toss about the 'old timers'. I will keep my fingers crossed that CCP see sense. They would massively increase their profits - more than enough to cover the revenue loss from the cry babies who can''t move with the times.

10 years of military service and 2 years in iraq protecting the troops from real live IED's through real electronic warfare isnt failing at anything.

but, i dont expect a young punk who only serves his self interest to understand.

and you may not care what they think, but ccp does.
either way, IDGARA what you think, the idea is lame because it can seriously be exploited.

Well, I'm very new to EVE, but even for me that doesn't seem fair. I will, with no doubt in my mind, be exploited. No one deserves to get easy winnings because they couldn't play anymore. You get what you deserve and you deserve what you fought for.

Now, a bit off-topic, about that failing in life...that was a very sad comment...Not having the money to throw away at anything you want is not failing, it's being responsible if you could do it and simply unable if you can't. If someone never did anything in life to earn what said person has, but some relative did, and they decided their children or whatever don't have to fight for their keep, that doesn't mean they had success in life. Some people have money without deserving it, and that's not so uncommon where I come from...

You get skill points for subbing; if you unsub then you don't get skill points anymore. I don't think that is unfair.

Everyone has issues in RL, sometimes they unsub by accident, sometimes they unsub because of emergencies. That doesn't entitle them to what they were 'supposed to get', if and when they come back.

If skill points are really all that important to you, then just buy a character.

Point first, immediately regret later.

Good for you. Sincerely. However...

I served 14 years in the British Army from 1990-2004. I've spent 4 years in Armagh, Northern Ireland keeping the IRA in check, as well as implementing the Dayton Accord in Bosnia in 95/96, and service in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm still breathing Brother, so back off with the 'Young Punk' crap. I'm 40 in March, so I am neither young, nor a punk.

Recognise.
