Eve launcher doesn't save patch if comp crashes, restarts entire download [High Priority]

So I've noticed that if your computer crashes while the launcher is updating, it will not save what it has already downloaded but makes you sit through the entire download again.

For those of us that use a data / phone wifi and get billed for it, this is REALLY anoying.

I can download 900 megs of a 1.4 gig patch, have my conection lost, or my comp crash, and the launcher has to RE DOWNLOAD the entire 1.4 gig again.

WTF?

EvE's launcher is the only launcher I have ever seen that does not save it's download progress in case of crash.

this needs to seriously be fixed ASAP.

I agree with you here. It's extremely annoying. CCP has never managed downloads properly.

All their client Installation and update tools including the launcher seem to be an utter mess atm.

No proper status information, no proper error messages, no links to logfiles (are there even any created by the installer?), no download handling. It's worse than what MS used to deliver in the nineties.

It's all fine as long as it's working. Once it stops working, you're basically screwed.

Remove standings and insurance.
