I enjoy the reaction I get when I screw with people, or troll people, or yes, gank/scam/trick them.

I laughed my ass off when I tricked someone into ejecting an Assault Frigate a few months ago, then jumped out of my noobship and took it. ( I told him that ships with no pilot in them can't be bumped, then got him to try and test it)

I laugh my ass off when people try to hop on the forums and complain about being ganked/bumped/scammed.

And when I read minerbumping.com (shout out to those awesome people), I have to bite my cheek to not burst out loud laughing at my desk at work.

Tears are hilarious to me. I mean, after all, it's just pixels. Getting emotionally invested in pixels is like being sad when a pet fish dies. That being, something only children do.

And, you know what? I am a husband, father, and I can certainly stand to look at myself in the reflection of the refrigerator-sized television I have in front of me in my living room.

So, does the fact that I am unapologetic for my actions or the actions of others is a video game bother you?

Why should I? I'm not inclined to repeat myself over and over, only because you are too lazy to look them up? They have been given numerous times, and you ignored them/countered them with your own arguments about (ie. "helping those clueless miners to learn the game" and what not)... your arguments are as (un)valid as ours, so the discussion is, as I said, useless... the system is what it is, and for as long as a) miners are allowed to mine AFK and/or multibox, and b) gankers are allowed to bump/suicide gank players in highsec, all will stay as it is.

My mistake was coming here thinking that I'm dealing with rational adults (on either side), but I'm leaving knowing better... Blink

Both of those things are allowed by the game mechanics, so that is probably true.

The obligatory troll of course being, that since the establishment of the New Halaima Code of Conduct, miners are no longer allowed to mine while afk. It's just that it will take us few (oh, we noble few!) a while to kill them all.

But think about it, if you plex your account instead of paying a sub, you aren't paying for it, someone else is, and CCP is allowing you to compensate that someone with in game currency.

Wow, sounds like you are quite the amazing individual. You can bully people you know are weaker than you and get upset over "space pixels", then go and look at yourself if your giant TV. Gee wizz I wish I could be you.
At the end of the day, it sounds like you're a selfish egotistic prick. Just because YOU are not upset by something doesn't give you the right to decide if other are or are not allowed to be upset by it, and it certainly doesn't mean it's good to purposely push them to upset them.

Oh, and let's just clarify. Not a lot of people are upset by the actual pixels being lost. They are upset because they invested time and effort into having fun, then for no reason someone came and took that fun away, the laughed in their face. If you were playing football, and I came and threw your ball away, then laughed in your face, I'm pretty sure you'd get angry at me. Would you be upset by the loss of the actual ball, grieving for it? Unlikely, you be upset at the fact that I ruined your fun and treated you badly.

Do you really need to be given a reason for why it's no OK to purposely ruin another persons fun with the intent of further winding them up should they express their upset towards you? We're not talking about whether it's allowed in game, we're talking about whether or not it's morally right or wrong to pick a weak target, then bully them.

You are wrong, the rules of EVE Online do not include this, they only allow it. There's a great difference between what a rule is and what it allows.

This is such weak minded drivel it's crazy. THIS is why griefers and gankers exist.

You know why I don't get griefed? Because I protect myself, when someone (rarely) gets something over on me, you know what they get from me in local? "GF". That's it.

You know what I did when I was a kid and someone took my football away? I went and get a bunch of other hard core kids, got my ball back, and took the bastards nintendo (which my dad made me give back, he then taught me that recoving what's mine is right, but retribution is beneath a Man).

The above is why I like to call attention to the misfit, to the people not mentally suiited to play this "Virtual Thunderdome" called EVE. EVE is a mad house, it's the "bad part of town" of the MMO universe, Grand Theft Auto with space ships. Even though I personally don't take part in ths madness, I understand it, I accept it, and I made sure I was mentally prepared for the pure screwery that people will throw at me.

That pure screwery IS EVE. Why people who can't take would chose to play EVE when most MMOs (including space based MMOs like TOR and Star Trek Online) actively protect players from the things EVE encourages, well, thats way beyond my ability to understand.

If a person is so weak he actually cries when something bad happens (or gets so epicly butthurt that they have to pursue the player out of game), he not only needs to no play EVE, he needs mental health intervention.

Include and allow mean the same thing in this instance. Even if it didn't, ALLOWED means you better be prepared to deal with it.
