I looted 6 bill in one day.

Last year in my hometown a car dealership sold 6 cars in one day, the next day they filed for bankruptcy.

Loot 6 bil a day once a week and we'll talk

Easy, make looting a yellow wreck grant kill-rights.

Looting can be great income, but its all based on chance. Eve is becoming a more pay-to-play game than it used to be.
ArrowRadar and mag sites in normal space are much less lucrative now. (low/null sec)
ArrowDED sites are a goldmine, but onerus...and with the t3 gimp on 4/10's.....
ArrowScanning and probing can now be done with a trained monkey....or posssibly chinchilla
ArrowEscrow trade is not as lucrative as it used to be.
ArrowNinja moon reactions are not too safe...i made hexite for a while solo (platinum+chromium moons).
I made a small fortune from every facet of eve....yes even PI (max efficiency). I guess im being defensive.....loot thieves suck.

I do see what your saying but I guess everyone will have to change with the times. Obviously a great money maker at one point was the moon goo, then incursions, then faction warfare, and now carrier ratting with 2 carriers and a dread.

My point is that the real isk is mostly made by exploiting rare forms of income. Whether it be something so simple where no one thought to do it or extremely complex that it takes a day or so of startup time.

Looting does have it moments so I commend you for even trying. Like most loot though, it all ends up in some random hanger to be trashed at a later date Oops Best to let the scavengers fight over it.

You mistake the point, i get most of my loot. I believe a killright would be a good idea for loot thieves.
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=19577304 i destroyed the wreck to deny my 'friends'.
Theres the answer.

They do go suspect after looting a yellow wreck, right? Why not kill them - or do they redock too quickly?

Whilst I was being stupid earlier (and often for that matter) if you do have neutral scout alts, why not have them nearby ready to scoop?

I think a killright is a bit excessive. If that was the case I'd have a TON on me by now, since I mostly go and pick over the corpses of fights/gatecamps/camp breakers and take their stuff. Going suspect is fine imo, although to me it doesn't make a difference since it's low anyway and I'm shootable by all.

Loot thieving sounds like an excellent career. Thanks OP, for bringing this to my attention. I shall now embark to steal all the loot I can!

I like to watch them scurry for the loot then blow it up right as they get close.
If your worried about your loot then scurry yourself.

Given that, sometimes these people stealing your loot are putting more risk in eve than you do killing your targets.
But a timer for docking would be a fun addition that I would like to see for loot stealing.

I am just here to snuggle and do spy stuff.

How about a stealing minigame before you can actually loot the wreck and maybe let the looting part consist of everything being launched into space for everyone to grab?

CCP has specifically said it is a valid game mechanic to steal sh!t from people that eat Marmite.

A dock/jump timer would be great, but then the gankers would have to deal with it too, so be careful what you wish for.

As a retired loot/ninja salvager I *yawn* feel for you bro!

BTW, if you're looting from people, make sure you anchor some GSC's in space to act as your offload depot. You'll easily avoid people gunning for you with your suspect flag.

How much have i lost to loot thieves? I could be on Eve easy street but for these little fellas. Its the most heinous criminal act i can think of is stealing loot.
ArrowI could be paying for the game with isk
ArrowI could have shiny stuff
ArrowWallet could be growing with my escrow trade dealings
I think CCP should put a limited docking timer on these self proclaimed robin hood's. It would make them think twice or have to be smart and align out every time.
I'm trying to be constructive here because these loot thieves are stealing hundreds of billions a month and using it for who knows......possibly to sell for rl money and buy prostitutes and drugs....just sayin'

So what ur saying is you don't like people stealing your loot.

However you have no problem in war deccing carebear corps and killing pretty much people that cant fight back and you lose their loot? If i may offer a tip? Maybe not camping the undock of Rens/Amarr/Jita your 5h!t wouldn't get stolen Cool

I tend to get angry at a lot of stuff in eve, however i ask myself this. Would i do that? The answer is usually yes so i can't complain.
