Zoom the star maps?

How do you zoom in on the star map? As of right now it is about useless. Just a mass of colored dots showing the whole of the game world.

People tell me that the mouse wheel zooms in // out, but what if you don't use or have a mouse wheel? Than was sugested to change the zoom hotkey buttons in settings. That apparently does not apply to the star maps, just to how close to the screen your ship appears.

This has caused me to fail the 'probe' training. 8(( Since I could not zoom in while probe scanning.

Am I just missing something?

Figured it out.


Hold BOTH left & right mouse buttons & move the mouse.
