Actual number of eve players a.t.m.

Hey, im just wondering about how many people playing eve on a regular basis at the moment.
NOT the amount of active accounts, because thats pretty misleading.
I mean actual individual persons.

Any ideas or facts?

How many of those multi box?

Since from that we can make a good guess of a lower limit (the maximum amount of people on the server).

Good question, some people have 2 or more accounts and they are playing simultaneously all of them. Can't be determined so easily. :/

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

Just taking a wild guess here, but I believe that for each main account there is on average one other account. So really the amount of players in this game is 1/2 of what may ever be projected, including the amount of members in an alliance.

That being said, CCP would never make an attempt to state the number of actual pilots in EVE. It wouldn't look as good as you'd hoped.

Just 1.. Me.. and my legions of alts who are all pretending to be various alliances and factions,
controlled by my super AI in my basement ( actually my mom's basement ) in an attempt to uber
troll CCP.

My alts have alts at this point, and I basically have two mains that are about 6 weeks different in age.

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

Thinking the same.

I really like this game (playing since 2006), it deserves way more players.
But multi accounts is one helluva big downside of eve.
Though CCP is just another company that needs to make money.

I'd say the numbers probably around 1.75 accounts per person. Yeh a load of people have alts but i know of plenty of players that only have one account.
