Judging from their last post at the top of the page, these guys may think eve-mentat is against the eula. Are they giving up on eve mentat? What will take its place? When will new eden adopt an ebay-like auction system? Who is john galt? Anyone know?

Link to the post?

Also: EVE mentat uses cache scraping which has been confirmed as being against the EULA, as do many other tools. CCP has stated however they will not ban you for cache scraping as long as it's not combined with other EULA violations (botting).

And atm EVE mentat is broken cause of the changes in Odessey 1.1 and who knows if it will ever be fixed.

The top post (at least now) says that EveMentat relies on Reverence to work. Read the link to the program's forum post. The dev is on vacation or something and can't work on Reverence for a little while. Once he's back and can update it, EveMentat will probably be working soon after.

Someone posted a link in the forum post with updated code and claims to have a couple of things working. How to get it working with EveMentat is beyond me though.

That's old news, CCP is not going to ban anyone for using Mentat or similar tools, that's all you need to know at this moment.

To be honest, this 'breaking' of the cache is working out quite well for my trading. Much less competition, I can't imagine this difference is all from ppl who use mentat and can't be arsed anymore to update their orders. I fear that market bots are much more common than I thought till now...

Same here. I'm kinda glad it has stayed "broken" for a while. Lots of orders I don't have to update cause people are too lazy to do it manually or find a workaround...
