I come today before you all to offer a formal apology to The Star Fraction on behalf of Dark Phoenix Rising.

In an un-provoked attack members of my alliance attacked a JF belonging to Star Fraction, this would not have been in my wishes. We operate a NBSI policy in low sec or null but have scrict guidelines regarding attacking of pilots in empire. no industry pilot may be harmed.

Living in syndicate we need the support of traders like Star Fraction, i support free enterprise and undersand first hand the need for supply in this area. The pilots involved in the incident have been scorned and re-eduacated in the finer unwritten politics of eve.

Dark Phoenix Rising will not attack The Star Fraction and in fact will defend them should they call for help in future.

This post acts as a formal apology to all members of the Star Fraction and especially to the JF pilot concerned.

I hope the bridges we have built tonight we can build on for a happy trading future.

I am happy to accept your apology Valek Noor and am glad on this occassion we have come to peaceful terms and look forward to profitable commercial interactions in the FreeSpace of Placid and Syndicate.

We have ever been close to our trading roots and consider progressive commercial development a critical foundation to capsuleer independence and visionary future aspirations.

Why can't more conflicts be solved this way?

Oh, wait. That would be boring (also, my autocannons would be sad and cold).

Anyway, I am genuinely happy to see a positive interaction between two entities on the IGS. It's a rare thing, that.

It is a rare thing Petrus Blackshell, and is very encouraging. We fight so many regressive road-blockers, scraping nationalist patsies and nasty little bottom-feeding pirates it is a pleasure to find an opponent with the wits and integrity to hold a fair and honest discussion.

Hrm? Nothing. It's just that I think my mind just suddenly shut down at seeing actual productivity on here.

Remember what it was like when you actually fought wars with Omerta Syndicate. Quite a long a time ago now.

I am impressed by the successful diplomacy that has taken place; It is nice to see some mature capsuleers take care of business without the use of aggression and violence. I wish all pod pilots had the same attitude towards negotiations.

Peaceful resolution, yeah. I know well how diplomatic Star Fraction is.

It's a good system, really. Either they apologize and give Star Fraction good publicity, they get eviscerated and give Star Fraction good publicity, or they crush Star Fraction and Jade cleverly disguises impudence as the daring underdog who just wants to set things right.

im·pu·dence (mpy-dns) also im·pu·den·cy (-dn-s)
n.
1. The quality of being offensively bold.
2. Offensively bold behavior.

That would be about right.
Tonight I name a ship JFS "offensively bold"
Seems fitting.

A talented enough publicist can spin even the most humiliating and crushing of defeats into sounding like a great victory.

Constantine's talented enough with her words and stubborn enough with her opinion to convince a sizeable chunk of New Eden.

When your gut instincts tell you something is wrong, trust them. When your heart tells you something is right, ignore it, check with your brain first. Accept nothing, challenge everything.

Now I feel like the *******. Why do you always do this?! I think I got things all figured out and then you're like "oh muh muh luh lah lah" and I'm reminded that I am the jilted one. Again the drama that plays out in my mind and I'm the only one who sees it.

The last episode was me excitedly running up to you to give you my lovingly created pasta-pasted picture of one stick figure stabbing the other stick figure in the back. I hoped you would embrace it and tack it to the refrigerator to replace the other ones that keep getting mysteriously lost, but instead you beat me mercilessly with it and tell me to pack my things and get out of your outpost. Abandoned by my involuntary surrogate mother.

It's okay, I have my paper-bag people to command me what to do now.

As I recall Jade Constantine did this a few years ago, spinning a multi-post yarn that told how she and hers valiantly and courageously lost at least dozens of Tech-1 cruisers in wave after wave of suicide assaults against a CVA capital fleet.
