Why is it asking me to destroy implants?

If you are being told to destroy implants you'd better damned well comply before an ISD gets in your game session and locks a thread...

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

Can we please examine why you can't have more than one jump clone in a station at a time?

Would it really be that hard to have a menu of clones pop up, with implants listed, and then choose the one you want?

Jump clones are not intended to be implant suits that you simply slip on and off whenever you wish to change implants, there are restrictions in place to keep it from becoming too easy to do so. This also falls along the lines of not being able to jump more than once per day (or a little less now).

If you want to swap those implants, you're going to have to move around at least a little bit to do so... putting yourself at least at some risk in the process. Of course you can destroy them at any time if you "really" need to swap those implants.

If you want a RP justification, it's not a restriction due to lack of technology to do so. It's a legal restriction that you are not allowed to house more than one jump clone in a station at a time. Smile

You might also consider that it is wise to keep your medical clone in a station other than the one where you have a jump clone stored.

Cool RP reason extended remix: the legal requirement about housing only one clone was the result of a technological accident early in the days of cloning tech where a whole crowd of powerful clones were activated at once in the one location.
Massive psychological trauma inflicted on the clones resulted in them fighting in station over assets, undocking in bling ships to continue fighting, the few survivors scattered into drone space.
Wandering null as weird, troubled, highly skilled capsuleers the small but unknown number of identical clones are a murky and disturbing reminder of a week known as The Teonusude Incident.

Right, don't you know that civilizations in eve are so advanced that they have faster than light travel, the ability to move a ship between star systems and communicate between multiple points in the new Eden cluster simultaneously instantaneously in real time but incapable of transfering a consciousness between 2 cloned bodies with implants in the same station.

*LOL* !!

I love how my question was answered days ago and this thread is still going. This forum is by far more fun, interesting and full of conversation when compared to something like... the league of legends GD... Those hateful little kids.

Clones aren't meant to be implant suits? Huh, that is exactly what I use mine for.

1st scenario:

3 jump clones and you

you are in station D
a jump clone in station A
a jump clone in station B
a jump clone in station C
Here you jump out... your current clone stays in station D and you transfer your consciousness to A B or C stations...
no problems...

2nd scenario:

you are in station A
a jump clone in station A
a jump clone in station B
a jump clone in station C
you can jump to your jump clone in station A with no problem... if you try to jump to station B or C it wants you to destroy your implants ( and your jump clone is actually destroyed also) because when you jump out of station A it has no place to put your body as it is already occupied by your jump clone that is stored there.

Only 1 clone can EVER be at any one station.
If you are at a station that has a clone you can ONLY jump to that clone.. no others.. without losing your implants (and clone).

clear as my skin!
