Random and not so Random Socket closing

So first off it's never a good sign I suppose when I go to check the known issues page per the first sticky posted in this forum and I get a huge 404 page error...so what ever I don't know what that means.

My issue is ever since Odyssey 1.1 I have been getting random socket closings, in space, in station, during auto pilots etc. Now today I am experiencing some disturbing lagg issues with trading gear between characters on separate account sin station, and splitting stacks in hangers. The splitting stacks one I have noticed seems to be contributing to two of the socket closes I have seen this morning. Needless to say the game is unplayable now because of this BS. Anyone else having this issue or know of some fixes?

Thanks i advance should I not reply to this thread immediately, all help is appreciated.

I did see the 'possible fix for closed sockets' thread also, and I can't say that helped me much. I don't even know what a closed socket is. That thread said it was usually the ISP that has the issue, but I have never experienced closed sockets before, so that maybe means my crap ISP has developed a new issue with my internet connection to make my life hell?

did you run the repair.exe?

if it not fixes the issue, clear your cache, it fixed the socket closed crash in my cases.

i'm REALY miss the old stuff.

Well I know I am having occasional issues where sometimes my router needs to be reset, or my wireless adapter needs a reboot, but those situations are when I lose all connectivity so I am ruling those issues out. The repair tool had errors and won't run now, even after I initially updated it one one client and gave it a trial run. So I am thinking should I just do a full delete of the old clients and re-install all three with new copies of the game? I did the cache clearing for everything and that did nothing.

1. try to re-install the client
2. update your wireless adapter, graphic and sounddrivers
3. when this wont fix the problem, file a bug report
