Consequences (?)

First of all: i'm not against empire ganks, but i was wondering: what are the real consequences for people who choose to pirate?
Actually, as i see it, there are not real consequences: you can freely roam in empire with a fast ship and if you need something bigger you can simply have an alt/friend bring that for you and board it.

Just a thought: when a faction doesn't like you they chase you no matter where you are; sure they don't have scramblers, but still you can't stay at a safe in your ship for example, you don't have to commit a (new) crime in order for them to respond. They will be on top of you in a few seconds, even if you are shooting their enemies.
So why being a complete criminal is more tolerated (by police) instead?

Another example: when you are caught with illegal stuff in your cargo, you receive a fee and a penalty loss; you don't choose to pay or not, they just take money from your wallet.

If completely denying them the entrance in high sec is too harsh, then at least police should chase them even before they open fire on somebody. Am i wrong?

Again: i don't want empire to be a totally safe place, i don't even live there, but when i think about the current mechanic, i feel there's something not working as it really should.
I'm looking forward to receive your feedback, maybe there's something that i'm missing.

Thanks.

Anyone can kill you at any time.

It isn't.

You're wrong in thinking that they don't do that already.

Yeah, you are missing the fact that everybody can point and shoot flashy red ship/pod. No need to waste dev's time on blocking gates of hisec to prevent baddies jumping in. Devs need their time to make up excuses why they don't do anything beside shuffling numbers left and right and calling it expansion.

Except the people that are neg 10 and know the rules, also know how to break them. And they have scouts. Now if CCP would implement an aggression of criminal repercussions to those that picked up a ship dropped from an Ocra....

Yes: that the consequences you're asking for are already in place, and more on top of that.

Meh. Red is enough punishment. Most victims of a gank are pretty much asking for it anyway. Common sense averts most ganks. Let's not give the I don't need a tank crowd any more NPC related buffs they don't need.

Please. Gankers have no fear in highsec. The system does not allow you to be safe but it allows neg 10 to slip through without problems. I say that if you are -5 or lower NPCs should pod on sight.

I'm sorry but are you saying that knowing rules and exploiting other people ignorance should be punished? Learn to play and deal with consequences of your failures.

So?
The fact remains: the consequences the OP is asking for already exist, and then some.

Why? What other duties of yours do you want the NPCs to do for you?

no son, you are totally missing the point, think again and don't cry, we are just talking Blink

What? What?

She seems to get the point perfectly and and is saying she doesn't see a need for increased "NPC" consequences beyond the everyone can shoot you consequence and you lose your ship if you commit a crime consequence.

Also telling someone who hasn't cried not to cry is a little strange and on top of that saying we are just talking while she is also talking is a little strange.

Maybe that isn't what you meant to convey and just misread her post, I don't know but you should be careful with your wording to present a clear and competent message.

you too fail to see the point and are going totally offtopic btw, becouse:

>> I'm sorry but are you saying that knowing rules and exploiting other people ignorance should be punished?
i didn't say this, i was talking about something else

>> Learn to play
i know how to play

>> and deal with consequences
i have no problems dealing with concequences of my actions

>> of your failures
what failures? assuming that i was a victim of this mechanic is simply stupid, i saw something and i started wondering over it, so again: talk about it or don't go OT please

Wrong.

99% of all gankers are cowards. They fear a lot,
but hide that fear behind childish smacktalk that makes them look tough,
to cover up what losers they actually are.

They rely on neutral alts to find them targets
and they hide in station until a target is found.

NPCs podding gankers ?
Sure, when NPCs start podding mission runners too.
And miners who sit there in their pods.
Or autopiloting pods.

No but the post before yours did in fact say that people who...

Should face harsher punishment.

To which you reply.

So it can be inferred that you meant the same as him.

She was referring to people who lose unnecessary ships, if you don't, I don't see why you would make her statement about yourself.

Her post was completely apt to the topic, yours was a strange post saying it wasn't and laden with weird messages about points and topics, your defense of that post is stranger still.

Tell me what's wrong and i will add my POV more detailed.

From what i've seen i'm right (except for the exaggerated 99%),
but i admit that i can't see through all of new eden at once.
