You see, the Goons have a long checklist of thing that they go over during the recruiting process. One of the last things on their list is "Does this person have proof that they have had a Something Awful account active for 3 or more months OR do they have proof that a Goon is sponsoring their way into the Goonswarm Federation."

Obviously their list of applicants is very long so they like to take their list one check at a time.

Once you have sent your ISK and have had your good jumped up to Goon space that is when they look to see if the above is true, and if it isn't it is on your own terms to jump through neutral 0.0 to get your goods back. As for the ISK you sent, well that is between you and the person you sent the ISK to, so don't bash the whole alliance for it.

Note: can't dock if you're not blue. The jump freighter service also won't let your non-blue character send things out of null.
