Ugliest Ships in Eve Contest(s) - Win Free Ships!

Inspired by all the new ship talk and how cool the new Tier 3 Battlecruisers look, as well as the recent Raven redesign announcement, I've begun running an "Ugliest Ships in Eve" contest on my blog, Interstellar Privateer. The goal is to highlight the ships most desperately in need of a redo. Each page is a separate contest with a separate prize!

Given my poverty level, I will only be doing this for T1 subcaps (unless someone wants to donate higher-end ships). "Ugliest" will be determined by poll voting.

  • Rules and Destroyer Contest - TLDR: Vote and leave a comment; best comment after 1 week wins. WINNER: @Khanhrhh gets a Catalyst
  • Frigate Contest - WINNER: Cherry Nobyl gets her choice of the ugly frigate lineup (Imicus, Tormentor, Griffin or Burst)
  • Noobships and Shuttles Contest - WINNERS: Mara Rinn and Evelgirion get Gallente shuttles
  • Cruiser Contest - WINNER: Kirith Kodachi gets his choice of the ugly cruiser lineup (Augoror, Moa, Celestis or Bellicose)
  • Battlecruiser & Battleship contests on hold for now.

  • NOOBSHIP (IBIS) WINNER: Mara Rinn: "That’s the Caldari rasion d’être: uglify the enemy off the battlefield.” Plus Evelgirion and I had a great discussion about the history of ships and how people used to like the orange Gallente shuttle.
  • FRIGATE (IMICUS, TORMENTOR, GRIFFIN, BURST) WINNER: Cherry Nobyl: “The ugliest frigate in eve at this time has to be, without a doubt, the: atron. I call mine thalidomide.”
  • DESTROYER (CATALYST) WINNER: Khanhr'hh: "Cormie, every time. The ship that I found so ugly as a noob I cross-trained to Minmatar."
  • CRUISER (AUGOROR, MOA, CELESTIS, BELLICOSE) WINNER: Kirith Kodachi: "The Moa looks like a cyborg zombie goose that was rebuilt with parts from an industrial microwave oven from 1985."

Dear god the Imicus is a horrific mess of a ship. You are correct though that it would at least stand up on the floor of a hangar even if it couldn't fly straight in space...
