So many different microwarpdrives (MWDs), but which one to choose for your fit. And when should you shell out the big bucks?

Every microwarpdrive will give you the same speed boost, whether you spend 70K ISK or 70M ISK. Where they all differ are in things like fitting requirements, capacitor usage, and signature radius bloom.

Feel free to look over the following Google spreadsheet. There are tabs for each of the three microwarpdrive size classes. 1MN for frigates and destroyers. 10MN for cruisers and battlecruisers. 100MN for battleships (and some cruiser- and battlecruiser-sized hulls.)

...

Well done, new players would be wise to take advantage of this.

100mn has better exhaust notes when you go through a tunnel.

I hate the "coffee can" sound that some of the cheaper MWDs make.

Also, nice work OP.

Every mwd *of the same size* will give you the same speedboost.

A 10mn and a 100mn on a tengu have very different effects.

Not a forum alt.

In the same size class (I'll add that qualifier).

The 100MN obviously has more thrust than the 10MN.

Nice job! This is stuff that's not immediately apparent, but very important when choosing how to bling your faction frig/etc.

Good post, I am sure even some veterans could use it as well, due to it's ease of comparison.

Good lord dude.

Frigate: Limited 1mn Microwarpdrive I
Cruiser/BC: Experimental 10mn Microwarpdrive I
Battleship: Prototype 100mn Microwarpdrive I

The only exception to this rule is if you're flying an expensive nano fit and want to spend a lot of isk for the cap bonuses or sig reduction. The audience of this forum shouldn't be flying those fits.
