Divide stack bug

Sometimes I get a bug which prevents me from dividing a stack.

I shift-drag on the stack.
The "Divide Stack" dialog appears.
I enter how many I want to split off and press Ok.

I then get the error message, "The XXX is being sold." Where XXX is the name of the item.

This seems to happen when I have the "Sell item" dialog box open.
