Had it happen several times. It seems to me it happens when you scan down a second sig close to the original, and at some point the original sig is in the radius of your scanning probes. Need more data to be sure though.

Best workaround is to bookmark the moment you get 100%, you wont be able to warp from the interface, but you can warp to the BM.

Had this once yesterday, was able to warp to the sig after I continued to scan somewhere else, at some point I was able to warp to the former defunkt signature as the scan-interface still remembered it.

Another bug spotted yesterday or maybe it is just me...

After launching probes in custom formation to scan down the system with 2 sigs, I couldn't see ANY signs of signature's locations on the system map. (no red dots, nor circles). Siggies appeared in Scan results window tho at 5-7% strengths. Tried couple of times, nothing changed. Client restart didn't help.

Solution for me was to scan system using one of two standard probe formations once, and then scan further using custom formation. The same thing happened again when I tried to scan down my static WH.

Anyone else experienced the same thing?

Yeah, been reported and confirmed by the devs in the issues forum.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

You guy's arn't the only ones... Yesterday evening several reports through-out the corp that the scanning is bugged.

On some occasion I even the issue of 0 distance and 0% and had to re-scan signatures in order to warp or to bookmark them if you scanned out another signature.

They create a new thingy but wrecked 10 others. Where did we saw that again...

Couple of people have complained about it in my corp but not had it happen myself.

Seems to be some issues with warping to an object with nearby objects tho - some people complaining that if they warp to object A it will randomly either dump them at A or B or exactly 2au from A or B.

I think I had that problem a couple of times but I can't swear 100% I didn't accidentally select the wrong bookmark.

Yup, Scanning is completely screwed, great work CCP.

- Sigs at 100% you cant warp to
- Invisible Sigs
- Sigs that just wont go above 0.0%
- Sometimes after scanning sigs to 100% they will return to 0.0%
- System scanner doesn't always show the rough locations on passive scan

I can't understand how scanning can be this screwed up. The changes made were pretty much pointless, I wish CCP would just leave things that work alone and focus on new content...

This is happening for me with normal formations. When I first enter a system I don't see any signatures on the map anymore, only on the scanner. I assumed this was a new feature of the patch? Aside from that though, when I do my spread formation scan, half the time I won't see any signature on the map, but it will show up as being there on the scanner. My solution, if I'm bored enough, is to scan each individual planet until I get the signature % to pop up in the scanner, Then I double click on it in my scanner to center it on my screen, then center probes on my screen, rinse and repeat after every scan until I lock my invisible anomaly. This part I'm certain was not a part of the patch, definitely a bug that needs to be looked in to.

It's really annoying when only a one or two people per timezone have the ability to scan.

Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/

Most of our Au/NZ timezone is fine. Its our European and American clients that for some reason seem to be the worst affected. My scanner has been locked out for the last 24 hours on both of my computers.

I will be firing up a third computer tomorrow and installing EVE and see if it works.

yeah after the "fix" patch after oddysey 1.1 hit i dont see any red spheres anymore. all scanresults are at 0 m from me.
so either they ****** up hard, or they tried to make scanning harder again? :D

also a problem i had was with the overlay scanner, because even if deactivated i see the red and green brackets in space, but no informations like the name or its signature. just the empty colored brackets. same happens if i have turned the overlay scanner on and jump to a new system. it does the initial scan, but does not fill the brackets with the additional information.

turning it off and on again fixes it but with a delay ofc.

I'm experiencing all of the above - no red spheres, ghost sigs or sigs at 0m, no overlay info' just the brackets. I bm'd my entry to a wh but this wasn't a sig on my first sweep, not even at 2au.

I think it's kind of surprising they let this scanning situation go on all weekend. A serious bug would be cause for an emergency 24-hour team to get a patch out ASAP. But when it's "Probe scanning is almost completely broken after that last patch? You know... I'm still worn out from the CSM summit. Besides, Soundwave's going away party is this weekend and the forecast calls for legendary hangovers both Saturday and Sunday, so yeah... a patch is gonna have to wait until next week."

Whatever the real reason, someone made the call that it was OK to ignore this bug until after the weekend was over.

Bumping this in the hope its read by a dev, i am now getting all of the above bugs and the only thing i can find that half works is to collect the probes and drop a complete new set and trying again even then it's a battle to scan down some sigs.

Please fix what you broke, this isn't like the SMA bug and others that we can let slide.

Not sure why they need to read this thread when they have one in the issues forum already saying they know about it.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
