Can a mining barge fit inside a wormhole? I've tried twice to go in a wormhole and was told my ship was to big.

Depends on the wormhole / barge / exhumer. See here for details.

Industrials will. Any barge plus its fittings will fit in a decent industrial's cargo hold, once repackaged. If your barge has rigs you will have to destroy them or get a second unrigged barge.

Mind you, mining in wormhole space is extremely dangerous, enemies can warp in on you with no warning whatsoever, they don't show on local, and don't even have to use probes since the Odyssey changes to grav sites.

The response Mara Pahrdi gave is exactly what you should familiarize yourself with.

Odds are, the wormholes you have tried to squeeze into were C1's (battlecruiser or smaller only).

And more importantly, the OP's post is over an hour old and not one person has offered to personally escort him into a wormhole. tsk tsk
