Because this won't get abused at all... Roll

But ya if you want to be invisible, then wormholes are a good place to go. There is no local and nobody will know youre there unless they scan you down.

I know that in other MMOs there is a way to set yourself "invisible" when you log on, if you are not feeling super social that day and want some time to yourself. This has become a really common feature in any sort of social community.

So... why does Eve not have it? Maybe I have a headache and I don't want to appear in corp channels, or in local, or to be contacted by the tons of people who have me on "watch list". The lack of this feature is a gross invasion of privacy and a serious restriction on the "do what you want" sandbox nature of Eve.

What do you think?

I disagree.

You log in to a MMO, where you interact with other people.
As mentioned before, you can just let others know you're not really in the mood for socialising and that should settle it.
You can also minimize your chatwindows, not go on comms, just to name a few.

As for going invisible, that would not be an option.
Killrights, being able to be tracked down by letting people seeing you log in or out, same for people that hunt wartargets.

And your headache can be fixed by not playing a game, taking some rest, a pill or a combination there of.

Lastly, and please do not take this as rude since that is not my intention, but stating:

That's purely and 100% a personal point of view, so please ensure you bring it across as an opinion, since that's exactly what it is.

You know... Eve isn't like most other MMO's. Before you start making suggestions on how to change game mechanics it would be wise to figure out those differences.

Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene.

That's honestly where i thought this was going.

I have to agree with "It's a social game, so go onto it to hide from everyone!" sentiment. It's a social game. Tell them not to talk to you, to **** off, or something along those lines.

or there is an option for private convo's. Set it to a billion isk. You will find out then just how badly someone wants to convo you then.
