A corp mate told me i'm too negative on the forums (i'm just trying to be constructive, most of the time) so i thought i'd pop in to say that i absolutely love the Deimos and the changes to rail guns! Big smile

Well done balancing team!

Just wondering though, why were all four of the special purpose indys distributed amongst just two races (Minmatar & Gallente), with three out of the four concentrated in one race (Gallente)?

Having closely followed the discussion on rebalancing these ships in the F&I forum I can tell you your ideas were heavily discussed. I can't remember if it was CCP Rise or CCP Fozzie that said developing new models was out of the question for now, something about overtaxed art resources or some such excuse.

Another excellent idea was to make the specialized ships either ORE or Interbus ships, but again art resources couldn't support the deadline. Maybe someday...

The things we do today we must live with forever.... Think about it

I have to agree with others that the skill name changes are not a positive.

Now as to the new skill groups, you guys rocked that one. You took an unholy mess and changed it to something that actually make sense.

This patch went pretty smooth.. Go easy on the name changes from now on, its annoying having to relearn new names for all sorts of things at the same time.

Nostalgia is important to some of us believe it or not.

scanning issues

in signature probing : sometimes i dont see the indicators (red dots.red sphere.red circle that i`m getting close to fully scanning it

in combat probing : i dont see the square indicators red or yellow that i`m getting close to my target wich makes ship probing imposible for me,unless i see the target on grid with my eyes.

Nice deal with specialize industrials.

But as some have noted Gallente get most those boats...and you missed some obvious niches for specialty haulers.

Why not add an industrial ship or two to Amarr and Caldari for fairness and well-rounded coverage of obvious speciallty areas?

Refined Ice Products

Fuel Blocks
(though a special module to adapt Hoarder might be more appropriate as ammo is generally very similar product)

Both of these are high volume-traffic hauling products

Probably some other highly trafficked bulk materials if CCP looks around. Moon mats or something.

LOL - how about a haulers for new hulls? Or even 2-8 assembled ships like those semi-rigs on US highways going to car dealers.

The industrial changes are a blessing for newer players.

And they might motivate people to fly decent transports with decent fittings.

It's been over a week and not a single post from CCP on any of the forums on the issues with the latest release.

CCP does not give a **** if EVE is broken.

They are off doing other important stuff like playing with the DUST bunnies.

None of the forums they put up for fixes and issues have been responded too.

People are asking in the help channels and others like the scanning channel and they are getting no responses at all.

I have evemailed CCP directly and have gotten no response at all.

I raged a bit and still nothing.

I have been angry and such about all the issues and now it is just plain comical how little they ******* care about what any of the players have to say.

Don't forget to PLEX...................................................

HOLY **** they may have actually fixed it.
It only took a week and they have absolutely no idea how to communicate with anyone but what the hell...they seem to have fixed the bigger issues for now.
They must have brought in some outside assistance or asked a couple explorers what to do.....lol

Unless its a quick in game bug or mission fix their lack of communication skills is astounding. There have been slight signs of improvement though.

People won't sit there thinking "now which one is the PI ship, the epithal (iteron 3) or the..." they will simply show info, buy the ship and then forget about it until they need to but a new one.

If you mind works differently, good for you.
As a noob, I've been thinking: Why would I ever buy anything but the most Iteron-y Iteron (ie. the Mk V)? And, I felt sad that the only one available on my local market for hauling my Planetary Interaction crap around was a puny Iteron Mk III.

But then, I logged in last night and discovered that my puny Iteron Mk III had transformed into the Epithal, a beautiful PI butterfly!

Er, well, it still looks like a dong. But, now it does the thing I was already using it for even better and I have no more sadness for my lack of Mk V space truck peen.

I loled at this one. Well written sir!

If you had any common sense you would realise that you have no ability whatsoever to guarantee the working of anyone else's mind, let alone "most people".

Hello,

I somewhat followed the industrial changes debate in the F&I thread. And I must admit, in some situations, the specialized haulers are useful to even very experienced industrial builders. Thanks for that.

Just one question, I'm not even sure if it was asked. Why not allow the Kryos to haul ice products (isotopes, heavy water, LO, etc)? Just a thought Smile

I also saw somewhere in here the suggestion to allow the hoarder to haul fuel blocks. Another great idea.

So are you saying that random names are easier to remember than sequential numbering or are you just arguing about an irrelevant statement?

Of course I can't guaranteeing it in a "money back if you are unsatisfied" sense but i would put money on what i said being fact. It's down to you to disprove my theory if you think otherwise.

I'm not sure that "irrelevant" is the right word, but my initial reason for posting was to object to your claim that you could "guarantee" how others think, but as you ask I would also dispute your theory about sequential numbering. If it were true it would apply in almost any other scenario, so let's try it:

Instead of Gallente industrials, how about Gallente frigates? Are you seriously claiming that you would find them easier to remember if they were called Atron Mk I, Atron Mk II, Atron Mk III, etc, instead of individual names?

What about RL? If you wanted a new car and went along to your local Ford dealership, you would find it easier to choose between the various models if they were called Galaxy Mk I, Galaxy Mk II, Galaxy Mk III, etc?

Do you have family - aunts, uncles, cousins? If so, no doubt they have unique given names, but you would prefer Cousin 1, Cousin 2, Cousin 3, etc?

I think not.

[Edit] If you look at the original feedback you will see that at first I objected to the idea of new names but I'm happy with the way it was done. Keeping the Iteron Mk V for those who seem to regard it with some sort of strange reverence was a nice touch.
