Ha! That last one is a good one. Gotta love the long con.

One guy was podded 75 times and he lost SP for every single pod kill. I think he went from 20 million SP down to 7 million SP or something like that. He won a lot of isk though.

They're not "real" sociopaths.

It was just a prank.

In general I agree, keep it all in game.

I don't see this individual as the potential worst case scenario, obviously we know very little about him. I didn't listen to every word but everyone seems happy he is a parent and not a sibling simply because he said so - for example. The sole purpose of this was to humiliate someone and clearly it was intended to be a public humiliation or I would not have been able to listen to it. If it had been a vulnerable person then there would be the potential for that person to do something silly as a result of that humiliation. Such a thing would likely leave the perpetrators with a slightly bad feeling but it would bring a lot of the wrong sort of attention to Eve, it could be very damaging and potentially game ending.

One of the guys doing this sounded like a younger person but there are clearly adults involved so it isn't something to be put down to kids being kids. I don't think they have the capacity to realise that they crossed the line from an in game scam and into real world humiliation that risks real world consequences. I think that mistake should earn the perpetrators a bit of time away from the game.

Please, tell me what rules they broke to earn said vacation.

Who was holding a gun to the guy's head while he was being silly on teamspeak? Because a gun to the head over space pixels is just not on and probably violates several clauses in the EULA.

If your scam relies on someone being new AND below average intelligence, you might be a terrible person. If you can teach someone an expensive lesson, or grift a seasoned moron, props.

But let's not start telling the kids on the short bus they need to get in a van with erotica1 before we'll give em a cookie. It's just bad for the community.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

I guess it would be funnier if that man was someone you care about -a brother, a friend, your son or your father.

If that were my brother, I'd have laughed myself to death.

If my brother did that I'd rip on him every day for the rest of my life.

And vice versa.

And neither of us would do it because we have an atom of self respect.

I tell anyone who is thinking about playing this game to stay far far away from it because this is a sociopaths playground. The only reason I still play is because I feel like I have a lot invested in it. Just have to be careful who I associate with.

I wouldn't do it, neither. But I can think of many ways in which a human being can't avoid doing that kind of thing because of pre-existing conditions beyond his control.

Do onto others as you would like them do onto you, or however is that said in English.

I don't care if the guy is stupid, mentally ill or whatever. He could had used some empathy from the guys abusing him.

For that, he deserves my compassion, and his abusers deserve my contempt.

I don't think you emphasised that eough, so i fixed lol.

i hate the weeping, crying type like the OP. The guy getting scammed only got scammed because of his GREED. EVERYONE who gets scammed gets scammed because of laziness, stupidity or greed.

It's as dumb to blame the people who are playing the game correctly for the problem as it would be to blame a player for killing a Hoe in Grand Theft Auto. The problem comes when stupid people do stupid things and the "bleeding hearts" run to their defense.

You wanna help the guy that got scammed, teach him to recognize a scam.

The guy was a noob. You don't take noobs for all they're worth when you yourself are worth 300 billion or something. What happened to the attitude of helping noobs in this game? When I listened to this I was literally cringing at the effort these guys were going to, half hoping at the end they would declare it a wind-up or something.

And did anyone notice the confederate joke at the end? I'm not even American but I could sense they thought the guy was fair game because of his heavy southern accent.

I should hope he's been taught that already...

So 4 weeks in the game mean you're no longer a noob? What is this game, [insert themepark MMO]?
