CCP we need a Purge DAY

How about a day when Concorde just kills everything that undocks, everywhere. They will even Pod everyone. No matter if High, Low, 0.0 or Wh. everything that isnt inside a Station gets Killed.

Its gonna be a much bigger and better Purge than what you suggests.

And it would be fair, unlike your idea were only the Goons would have their fun.

It's a **** idea with no upside at all and plenty of downside, and now it will thankfully die in F & I.

While we're at it, let's buff gate guns.

Gate guns should be able to move around system and also across systems. Gate guns that are outnumbered can call for reinforcements.

A Pirate who has repaired his sec and is running missions in high sec should have a random chance of a gate gun uncloaking next to him and ganking him.

Also, gate guns should occasionally float down the captains quarters gangplank and start messing **** up in your quarters.

HMMmmmm........I understand what he is saying.....a single DAY where there is no concord no security status gain or loss and no faction standing loss or gain.

Im a carebear, i run an indy group full of noobs soon to be a corp. I think this idea has merit and would love to see at least 1 day no gate guns or station guns respond, no concord interference...........

Why do i like this idea?
1.) My group and allies/friends could go mining and security forces could be there with us able to shoot first instead of waiting for a ganker or flipper to become suspect or flashy red.

2.) if we go into a belt......heh we could by force of arms kick someone out off the belt without consequence.....unless the players respond to such aggression. then we could.............

2a.) Have an impromtu warwithout waiting for the 24 hr dec delay and then we could really see who owns what mining belts and who is the boss of what particular area of highsec....without havving to pay for a wardecc....without having to play station games or gatgames or anything that plagues the ability for a decent highsec war.

and yes do i sound like a guy planning for his own future empire......thats because i am....im looking for friends and i have a list already of undesirables.......

So yeah for 1 day....the ability without consequenes to say get out of my belts/system or be killed this **** is mine GTFO would be really acceptable to me.

Thats a cute idea, the problem in that is that you will be outnumbered, because lets be real: how much security can you hire and still make a profit? You could also do that in a low quality WH or even low or null, right now, but you dont, you are still in highsec.

So basically this "Purge day" would mean, that majority of the traffic in the high sec would cease to exist. Like no one with a capital sized ship (Orca, Freighter, JF) would undock, because if they did, they would be obliterated in a matter of seconds. Missioners and people doing Incursions, who fly expensive battleships (or even cheap) would too stay safely in the stations. However, they may not even log in.

I bet it's safe to say that since ~80 % of people playing EVE are staying in high sec, this day would make the majority of the players rage.

Should this event happen, it would mean that all major trade hub gates would be heavily camped by either Goonswarm Federation or any other big alliance, catching people who would foolishly undock and travel. And then there would be people roaming asteroid belts and other places, catching people who forgot or didn't know about the event. Which would cause so much tears and result in lots of petitions created.


Now, do you really think, that someone, who pilots a freighter in high sec would undock during this event and continue doing stuff as he was used to on the normal day? Or do you think that a miner, mission runner, explorer, ... would undock into this hostile environment? I bet the answer for both these questions is NO, big NO. Therefore I don't see any reason to do this event as it would break the fundamental meaning of the high security space.


And please do not reply with "are you afraid?" or something like that as you did many times in this thread earlier. It seems as if you were unable to offer a proper argument and instead you attack the others.

Your idea is bad. There is no other way to say it, although many already have. You have not yet articulated a single upside - you just keep repeating "try it" which is not an upside.

Why not remove the drone UI for one day, just to see what it's like? We won't know how ******** this idea is until we try it.

This character was specifically trained to suicide gank, by the way, so not sure why he (or anybody, honestly) would be "afraid" of a video game mechanic that already exists in lowesc and nullsec. One day when he can still gank, but won't get killed by CONCORD? For the last time . . . Why?

Attacking others is part of eve. Problem with some people they're afraid of risk. Human nature for some. For the rest you assume this may happen but we haven't tested it or tried it so its just an assumption of what might be.. Until the purge happens we will not know for sure. I'm sure some will stay docked up raging.. Others will do something different.. But all speculation till an opportunity comes to purge.

If they didn't read the memo thats there own fault just like people who don't read intel channel about neuts in system. **** happens in eve.. Universe isn't a nice place.. Its dangerous and full of adventure..

Would I undock in a hostile system? Yes.. I rather take chance than sit spinning ships all day.. And I have done this. I'm immortal.. I can't die hahaa..

Upside is self explanatory. Freedom to do what you want in the entire universe without NPC police. No standing hits.. No gate guns.. No concord or navy... Just have pure fun.. A one day event...

It amazes me to see how some react negatively to this. Its funny how afraid of change you guys are. For a single day... No curiosity no adventure in your bones? Are your flames dead in you?

Sure some will stay docked others will take a leap of faith into the pits of fire. Some will survive others won't. But at least you've tried and had something inside stir...

I did not describe losec everyday occurrences

I made it a point to say NO SECURITY STATUS OR FACTION STANDING CHANGES...during the event


Take something in its full context....not what part you read and like to use as an argument point. If you cant do that then your stupid.

And as to the other idiot....I would definitely undock into such a hostile enviorment....and hiring security???? who needs to hire anybody when you have friends just looking for fights willing to help out for free.

And besides if it were to happen most would not undock because of FEAR....then that means where my group is we would have more the ability to have fun....killing without consequences as well as still getting our asteroid belts.

thats an interesting desire.

and its pretty obvious that the this whole purge day idea is stupid. much like the movie, and the failure that was its social commentary.

its a little saddening to see people try this hard

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.
