This right here.^

That's a rare ability: The ability to sift wheat from the chaff. Escpecially since EVE players are rather prone to chafing and chaffing at very high volumes. Blink

Expansions in a sandbox are about giving you a better quality of sand to work with, both by sifting out the cat turds and changing the way it sticks together when worked.
Expansions in a themepark are about putting in new rides.

Keep expecting themepark expansions in a sandbox game, and you'll keep being disappointed.

I think this sums it up perfectly.

Yes it does. Fixing stuff (which creates new opportunities) is a million times better than CCP putting in 1 or 2 "jesus features" that no one will use much after the shininess wears off and calling it an expansion.

rebalance gives lots and lots of content , look around you , check the killboards

edit: spoiled brats

Why, were people not being killed before the re-balance?

*sigh* We're so easy to please...... But in all fairness, I don't think Odyssey 1.1 is an expansion. It's an update (a really big one), not an expansion. I believe if it were an expansion, it would have it's own name. Like "Morass 1.0", then the update would be something like "Morass 1.1"

He was referring to the "expansions" of the past several years, not 1.1 patch.

Did I miss the memo? When did they make null sec L4 missions players capped? Shocked

TBH I quite liked the v3 graphics and later the Apochrypha features beginning with WHs and ending with T3 ships.

They didn't. When people are talking about null they mostly mean SOV null as opposed to the other sections of null (npc null and wormholes and yea, wormholes are null sec lol).

SOV null has a definite cap on how many players it could support. Same with wormholes.

High sec, low sec and NPC null have no cap because of missions.

Well they can't compare apples with oranges. L4 in hi sec corresponds with L4 in low and null.
Anoms in hi sec correspond with anoms in low and null.

Guess how many players hi sec anoms support compared to low and null? Does not sound so much grand any more right?
And I am not even talking about the sov spawned stuff, that it's just unavailable in hi sec at all.

True, but then the main core mechanics such as PoS's, Sov Warfare, being able to earn more isk in HS then the best Null Sec still have not been touched.

Whilst the change in moon goo is a welcome beginning, it still needs a total overhaul.

You can only spend so long doing "Iterations"

I know I need something new.

On the earning more isk in HS than the best null sec, I call utter BS.

Oh there are still tons of things that can be improved, but you gotta start somewhere. This post isn't about naming what you would like to see improved though, it's about complimenting the devs for listening to the players, asking for their opinion and actually doing something with it...

In that case, the correct thing to do is combine the sources of population support in the areas of space:

L4s support an unlimited population in HS.
L4s support 0 people in Sov Null.

Anomalies support close to 0 people in HS. (Unlimited + any number is still unlimited, so plug in whatever number you want here).
Anomalies support at most about 6-8 people per system in Nullsec. Let's call it 10, say people play 3 hours, so each system can support an upper bound of 80 people.

So add them up:
HS can support Unlimited + 0 = Unlimited Population.
Sov Null can support 0 + 80 per system = 80 people per system.
