Eve-Central History API?

Is anyone familiar with the Eve-Central "history" API?

I've been toying around with making a market analysis tool in Matlab and I've had some success using the "marketstat" API which returns xml. However, it seems like the history API returns a different format and I'm not sure what it is. Unless I'm mistaken, which is quite possible since my grasp of these topics is a bit shaky. Can anyone enlighten me?

By the way if anyone is interested in using Matlab and/or has experience with it, I found it fairly simple to import the marketstat aggregate data and do a bit of analysis. I made a short writeup for general amusement, though I'm far from a market expert. :D

I don't know about the EvE central API format (Although I doubt it is similar to the EMDR formats), If you want to do proper processing of EvE market data I strongly recommend you get a hold of the Eve Market Data Relay and back it up with a SQL database. It's a small project, but lots of people have that kind of code laying around, so you might be lucky and find someone with a running example.

Thanks, I may look in to that. I was hoping to let someone else do the data base dirty work since I'm sort of a casual programmer . We'll see :D
