Which container for inventory sorting in hangar?

I was told I could use the cargo containers that are listed in the section of "Deployable Equipment" for ships, as a way to sort items in my hangar...which of the cargo containers are useable in the hangar bay?

Thank you.

Station Container

Cheap, but hard to move around without an Industrial.

Edit: Wait, you said "hangar bay" (as in, ships?), I'm not certain then... since station container is for cargo.

Use whichever size is suitable for what you are putting in it.

But you'd think that after 10 years they would have a decent tab system for sorting. They spent a long time upgrading the inventory and it's still a mess. Especially if you have a builder character.

The main issue is that you can't really interact with blueprints in a can. You have to drag them out to to the main inventory to do stuff with them. It's a total pain in the ass when you have a hangar that is set up like this.

As a builder it find it really annoying and it makes skills like Scientific Networking and Supply Chain Management a complete waste of time to train.

I used to use station containers, since the change removed the NPC sellers I've rather started using freight containers instead. They're smaller when packaged and easier to move around, plus you don't have to wait 3 weeks (or whatever it is) to repackage them if you want to move them to another station.

Perhaps I used incorrect phrase: I'm wanting to use the containers to sort my inventory in the "Item Hangar", as in the picture linked by Mr. Epeen. Sorry for confusion.

Thank you for replies/information. Got a cpl blueprints to make my own containers, will be cheaper in the long run, as I can see the need for many.

Yes, you'd think there would be a much better mechanic in place for sorting/using the inventory.

Thank you.

Instead of purchasing station / freight containers i`d suggest you messed around with filter options in the inventory to sort the items. Works like a charm if you set it up properly.

Fixed that for you :)

But yeah, I totally agree. The only thing that you can do with things in a container is stack and unstack them, for anything else you need to move them into the main inventory, which is totally annoying.

And @TK, filters are great when they suit your purpose, but often I find them too limited for what I'd like to filter. (Try to filter for: mid-slot modules that I use regularly, and if I own multiple variants of the same module, only show the variant with the highest meta level.)
