WTF just happened?

I was typing a reply to a thread about getting rid of local, had to go afk for 40 mins mid type (new fridge being delivered etc) and came back to a 'we were ganked' page.

refreshed and same, so tried going back, nothing worked so mutter grumble I'll start the reply again.

Noticed I had a player X liked your post on a previous reply to the topic, so clicked that to get back to the topic and it's gone wormhole bound, never to be seen again.

No isd lock, no isd moved, just gone.

If it's censorship then why wasn't the offending comment blanked out instead of deleting the whole post.


Any ideas?

Some Nerf Local threads are entirely too toxic for even archiving.

They rot very quickly, and corrupt what is legitimately there.

The forums have been redesigned to eat as many posts as it can before they get posted.
The "Draft Saved" mechanic has tossed out quite a few of my attempted posts.

You should use 'Notepad' or 'Wordpad" or the word-processor of your choice to compose your post.
Then Select All, Copy, Paste, Post and BAM! In your face "Draft Saved" mechanic!

Don't ask me to post with my main! You post with your main first!

They killed a thread whose topic was duplicate.

Duplicated over and over for 10 years.

So, they decided to just trash it rather than archive all the useless information in it yet again.

This happened quite often during the Incarna Rage.

Thread after thread just disappeared without Lock.

It's not that unusual.
